I couldn't agree more Stephen A. I love hearing these words from another black father. I have 4 daughters and they're the most beautiful blessings and precious gifts from GOD above. Blessings to you and your family Stephen A!

You need to be in the house everyday to truly be a good father. It’s not about money, it’s not about presents, it’s about “presence”. One of the worst things about our society is people who didn’t have a present father repeating it with their own kids...& not even seeing the value in it because it wasn’t part of their experience growing up. A kid needs to feel like they’re the center of the universe. If the parents are selfish & don’t allow them that through their childhood, watch what happens. That’s when kids act out, rebel, get involved in drugs & violence, etc. Put your own wants & needs before those of your child & watch what happens.

This might be the greatest KZbin comment I’ve ever seen. My parents divorced when I was two. They are not bad people but it affected me so much . If you have an in house father, cheerish it.

Wish I could be with my little girl more but, the bills have to be paid and everything is so much more expensive than it used to be. I always take my days off but, I do wish I had more time to spend with her. Hopefully will have more time in the near future.

I’m 34, not a father, mine was shit but it doesn’t discourage me I’m just waiting for the right woman to make the mother of my child and eventually children. I’m enjoying my life and putting it together more every day now it’s been a rough personal time but hope, prayer and work will see me through. Happy Father’s Day to all the men that have done what Andre Sr. Could not.

I can't STAND Mother's, Father's, and Valentines Day. They are days that shouldn't exist. I was always raised that you shouldn't need a DAY to let your loved ones know that you'll spoil them or that that it's "their" day. This is love that I show and they that they DESERVE every damn day. You should always feel out of the blue just spoiling or buying them something. If you love them, it ain't gonna be hard

I’m the eldest of two girls as such I’m the tomboy which means I GOTTA BE TOUGH and I don’t mind it bcoz my dad ( a special needs teacher with 8 brothers who ALL PLAYED AMERICAN FOOTBALL ) taught me not to take any mess from any guy bcoz he knows that I’ll be taken advantage of if I don’t set standards, I’m also a writer ( by virtue of my momma so I can learn to balance the scales out but most of the time it hardly ever works out

A father is more than a friend because you have tell things that hurt there feelings! You have to tell them the truth! Most of the times they will be mad at you and come back years later then say thank you! See you don’t have the right to be called a father if you just produce a sperm! Real talk

SAS, I need some flowers, candy, a handmade card, a gift, and all the works! It is absurd for you to come on here and say you don't need anything but a phone call. Damn that! 🤣 I feel you 100% knowing my children and wife are doing amazingly well is all I need. Like you said, daddies their job everyday and that's all you need.

The second I hear daddy, i sigh and say wtf now, jk. I've been a single father since i was 17, I'm 43 now, my boys are 10 years apart, to 2 dif women, youngest is 14 now, oldest is 25. So i don't know anything else really. Me and my eldest are like best friends now. Had bad drug problems, but motivation to be there for them got me out of it, be dead or in jail if it wasn't for them. Both mothers left me with my boys, which I'm so grateful for, I've bad taste in women.
