Curry was a fkkn NIGHTMARE in this series. They know he can shoot 3s and they expected him to do that. But they DIDN'T expect him to be aggressive and ATTACK the paint like he did. They didn't know how to deal with that. Curry just fkkd them up. LOL

A lot of guards can learn from Stephen Curry in terms of finishing at the rim. He's not the most athletic player but he's crafty around the rim. He knows how to maneuver his body to avoid getting his shot blocked.
@mrkickinthesky

Ched Beckford at finishing at the rim curry is only second to uncle drew(going by eye-test), statwise curry had the highest percentage on layups and inside points i think if ur counting guards only
@slamandjam2
@slamandjam2 3 жыл бұрын
What guards need to learn MOST from him is his movement off the ball. Look at someone like Harden, easily a way better 1v1 player than Steph, but double team him at half court, he kicks it to one of his teammates and just stands there waiting to go 1v1 again. Steph STAYS moving, throwing defenses into disarray, and either getting to another open spot or causing so much panic in the defense that it frees up one of his teammates for an open shot. He is on another level when it comes to that

Hieu Tran Curry is less acrobatic around the rim than Kyrie. Curry is more straight to the point when he drives
@jarodporter8205

Kyrie is the best at it because of his upper body strength and his acrobatics at the rim and how he uses the goal to his advantage in terms of hardly ever getting blocked.

His finger roll floater is terrific, why does he not drive more to the basket?, cause his outside 3 is lethal. Why does he not score more points?, cause he is not a ballhog?. Steph is becoming my favorite player of all time.

2018 entire playoffs curry > durant easily. Even in finals curry outplayed durant except game 3. curry got robbed in 2015 easily. 2017 is kd with a slight edge, but even then curry averaged 27-9-8 in finals. 2019 he averaged 30.5 in finals against a box and one defense for a major part, or at-least triple teamed. Ridiculous player. Once in a generation and game changer.

Curry always gets better as the series goes. Of course he has to be healthy. A lot of people dare to question this mans game cause of a couple bad games in the playoffs, but fail to bring up that he came back EARLY TWICE FROM MCL KNEE SPRAINS, especially in 16’. He started playing at least 1 1/2 months earlier than normally a player would.

SMH @ "just a 3pt shooter". Steph is a great ball-handler. He is a facilitator, who creates movement and space for the offense. He is an elite shot-maker and in this series we saw him play through contact and finish at the rim. He also plays well within the team defense, and gets steals. He even gets rebounds and leads a lot of fast-breaks. To call him a one-dimensional player just displays ignorance.

@@s.l5787 yes bro. they play 2 on 3 man on strong side, so the weak side can have around 2 person to shade the paint for better protection. kinda a hybrid zoning which many casuals that said and think handcheck is everything doesn't know a single thing about basketball. 90s tried doing the same thing but it wasn't because theres shooter standing outside, but because some stupid rules tell them, they can't leave their man a arm length away. bulls often complains to ref if the opponent decides to shade the paint for better positioning for help defense should mj drives. nothing is greater than a double team coming off from a zone at the right time, especially when opponent attacks rceklessly. imagine i died on my bed thinking i went out to guard dennis rodman on 3pt line instead of staying around the paint for better positioning to guard mj.

People don't understand ball. They don't try to hide Steph, but with Klay, Draymond, KD, and Iggy on the floor Steph is the obvious choice to go at. Steph gets this rep as a bad defensive player because he can't guard Harden, Kyrie, and LeBron. Then every player in the league is a bad defender except Kawhi. Curry is not a great defender or a bad defender. Steph is an adequate defender who is opportunistic and gets steals. He is aware and a decent team defender. If people want to grade him against the best offensive players in the league then almost every defender would have a failing grade. Good offense is just better than good defense.

@@123123roo -- The point is that good offense beats good defense every day. You can't grade a defender based on their match ups against the best offensive players in the game only. Just because Kyrie makes you look bad doesn't mean Patrick Beverly will do the same. People really out here trying to judge Steph's defense based on efforts vs James Harden and Kyrie. Those are 2 of the top 5 hardest people to play individual defense against.

@Iso UNGUARD able LMFAO WHAT SERIES WERE YOU WATCHING 😂😂 Per Espn Stats As the primary defender of a play: Curry: opponents shot 44% from the field and 23% TWENTY-THREE PERCENT FROM 3 Harden: opponents shot 55% from the field and 50% FIFTY-PERCENT FROM 3. The Warriors scored 1.08 points per play on Harden. The Rockets scored .88 points per play on Curry. They "abused" Curry so bad didn't they Lmfao. You can't even say it was a small sample size. They literally attacked him almost every other play yet shot horrible percentages when he was the one guarding the ball handler. Youre a casual fan dude foh

Last 8 Finals MVPs (What should've been and should've stood): CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 - Stephen Curry (Greatest Player no doubt) CHIP 2021 - Giannis Antetokounmpo (Best Player By Far) CHIP 2020 - Lebron James (AD was great too, but Bron was unstoppable) CHIP 2019 - Kawhi Leonard (Greatest Player of the Entire Playoffs, He single-handedly overcame the near 3 peat warriors, he won Fair and Square, but with no injuries Warriors in 6) CHIP 2018 - Stephen Curry (Greatest Show was put on by Steph) CHIP 2017 - Kevin Durant (He was a scoring machine, averaging 35.2ppg, but if they wanted to be like "who had the better overall stats" then I say Steph Curry) CHIP 2016 - Lebron (All I'm gonna say is 3-1, I'm a warriors fan btw) CHIP 2015 - Stephen Curry (He was legit robbed of the FMVP, I understand that Iggy played great defense on Lebron, but if great defense was a few stops and still letting Bron average over 30ppg, then so be it, but Steph was clearly the better player, he was unstoppable and combustible that series, the NBA might have to give Steph that award although it's 9 years later lol, just kidding, but it was for sure Steph's award that season)

Had the pleasure of being at game 5, the do or die game for the Warriors. That place was rocking, and when Klay went nuclear in the third you couldn't hear yourself saying anything. That don't call it Roacle for nothing.
