கடவுள் என்ன உயிரா, பொருளா இருந்து காண்பிக்க? கடவுள் என்ற உணர்வை எப்படி உணர்த்துவது? நமது எந்த உணர்ச்சியையும் உணர்ந்து கொள்ளலாமே தவிர, வரைந்து காட்டமுடியாது. கடவுள் தேவைப்படாதவர்களுக்கு கடவுள் தேவையில்லை. தேவைப்படுவோருக்கு தேவை. ஆனால்,இருக்கு என்போரும் இல்லை என்போரும் ஒரு நம்பிக்கை அடிப்படை கொண்டவர்களே. இவர் கடவுளென்பார்,அவர் இயற்கை என்பார். உண்மையில் இரண்டுமே நிரூபிக்க முடியாதவையே! பிரபஞ்சத்தின் பின்புலம் அது எதன்மீது பயணிக்கிறது என்று கேட்டால் இன்றுவரை பதில் இல்லை. ஆனால் கடவுள் என்ற உணர்வு நமக்கு புரியவில்லை எனும்போது அதை நாம் விமர்சிக்கும் தகுதியை இழக்கிறோம். நகைச்சுவை உணர்வு இல்லாதவர் அதை எப்படி விமர்சிக்கமுடியும். சிரிப்பவர்கள் அவருக்கு ஒரு பைத்தியக்காரர்போலகூட தெரியலாம்...
