SpongeBob SquarePants creator Stephen Hillenburg changed the world. With SpongeBob thriving now more than ever before, a large group of students, the SpongeBob cast, and even Hillenburg's family, came out to celebrate his life and everything he brought.
It's important to keep Stephen Hillenburg's legacy alive, no matter what. SpongeBob has brought joy to countless fans around the world, but none of that would've been possible without the mind behind the character. As the years continue, let's look back and appreciate what he gave.

Hard to believe this Friday will be 3 years since we lost Stephen Hillenburg. He is truly an animation legend who created an animated icon. I don't think Steve knew how much of a global phenomenon SpongeBob would be, or how much of an impact the little square dude has made on so many people, when he first created him. We all have Steve to thank for literally making all of this possible. We love and miss you. 💛
