Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson joined us earlier this month for a watch along for game 1 of the New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers series and former Pacer, Stephen Jackson explained why Pascal Siakam isn't a good enough number two for Tyrese Haliburton and what the team needs to be one of the best in the Eastern Conference.

As a pacers fan, I can tell you that Jackson was one of the worst pacers ever a net negative as a player, one of the lowest IQ players I have ever seen , a chucker, selfish, turnover prone , he was a decent defender in some specific matchups. Even as of now he claims that he was a better player than Manu and Parker, I don't think he can find many members in his own family that support that take. I wouldn't take his opinion seriously

Interesting take by Stephen...Pascal averaged over 21 for the last 5 years in a row.... 2nd leading scorer on a championship team (so he's already proven Stak's point to be wrong).... weird argument to make based on pick-up

Whut? If not for Siakam, Pacers would be watching ECF from their couch at home, or Cabo, or wherever. He has been just invaluable to the team -- Pacers wouldn't have even made the playoffs without him...one of the best trades in our team history.

@DXAdamJensen Considering the Spurs won on average by five points or so, I'd assume his 10 points, 4 boards, and 3 assist actually made a difference. When did we get to a point when ONLY winning one doesn't mean shit anymore? That's the goal from day one.

@@EssAhrBee Oh please. You can plug Jackson in on anyone and they will still win. You don't lose with Manu, Duncan and Parker. Stop reaching, casual. Bruce Bowen was far more impactful and you try to make Jackson to be Jordan. Hell, Kerr was even better than Jackson and he was on the decline 🤣🤣🤣

It’s clear that almost no one in national sports media pays any attention to the Pacers or watches their games. This team and their style is legit. I think they could benefit from trading a little of their offense for some defense without disrupting their depth or identity or team chemistry if Haliburton can refine his game a little more and up his PPG average a little to offset the trade, because they need to at least have an average defense to have their championship window really swing wide open for them moving forward, but they are absolutely very close. Seems like there’s just a lot of haters who don’t know or don’t want to know just how good Indy has gotten this quickly. That said, the part about Pascal is true. Pascal was a more dominant force when he was still in his prime with Toronto when he could actually blow by defenders despite his size and finish strong at the rim. Even though he’s only 30, he appears to be in the twilight of his prime at best, but it may merely have to do with modern NBA players continuing to get bigger, faster and more skilled overall year after year, so he just doesn’t seem as effective as an iso option unless he has a clear height/size advantage like he did against the Knicks (even against OG), as his mid range game is still OP. He just doesn’t have the blow by ability anymore so he plays better with his back to the basket which mitigates his effectiveness at mid range when he’s up against a big strong tall defender, and he’s an average at best 3 point shooter so he can’t really stretch the floor and open up lanes like that either with his perimeter presence.

Stack is like GIlbert Arenas lite. lol Says the most outlandish things that most casual fans know is nonsense, but says it with so much confidence/conviction. It's weird seeing him with Matt Barnes on All The Smoke. Because when you look how Matt dresses, presents himself and talks, he has for sure matured. Stacks is stuck in 2010 mentally and emotionally. lol He obviously only watches certain teams and their games. He probably hasn't watched a Pacer game in over 5 years, lets be real. lol Siakam is a huge driving force as to why we made it as far as we did with a young inexperienced team.

Sikiam was the 3rd option on Raptors championship team of 2019 after Kawhi & Lowry. Sikiam's best role is 3rd option at $ 30 million a season. Pacers are gonna regret paying him a max contract at $ 45 mil a season. Sikiam is a good but limited player. Can't close games, no handles and very predictable game/ moves. That's the truth.
@jeandanielpagbe6816

Since he is so predictable, so how did he put 52 in a game last year. How did he put 36 and 37 to consecutives games in playoffs . As your concern even MJ was predictable, guy s knew all his moves, they knew he gonna take the last shot, but he was 10 times best scorer and won 6. Having million moves and being non predictable is nothing when you can stop the guy man! Giannis is another example. Kyrie and Doncic are overskilled unpredictables guys but Dallas was about to get swept this finals😅😅
