WOW what a collection. This year I'm reading as many of his books as possible. So far it has been Misery, Dolores Claiborne, The Outsider, and currently I'm halfway done 11/22/63. Over the years I've read IT, The Shining, Cujo, Pet Cemetery, Gerald's Game...so it looks like I still have a bit of work cut out for me
@FreddieM382 жыл бұрын
If you didn’t read the bill Hodges trilogy before reading The Outsider You should’ve!! Lol the outsider spoils the Bill Hodges trilogy and you meet Holly Gibney but you should still give the Hodges trilogy a read, it’s soo good and afterwards you should give the outsider another read and enjoy the wonderful and amazing character that is Holly Gibney

Started on King in August 2020 with Cujo and LOVED IT, and the collection you have looks to be a very expensive collection all-up. Love the collection, and with that copy of The Bachman Books without Rage, at least it's another King book to add to the shelf.

It's always nice to see other Constant Readers collections. I've been reading King since 1979 when I was 12. Started collecting when Pet Sematary came out and The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger was listed in the previously published books. Found a mint 1st for $100. For financial reasons I had to start selling some books a few years back but I still buy every new hardback as it's released and re-read them constantly all year long. I'm currently going through all of his short fiction.

Very nice, man! I may have missed it, but I don't think I saw the Plume editions of the early Dark Tower books. It's not a competition, but I am very proud to own a 1st edition of the 1988 Plume of The Gunslinger AND what I believe is a 1st edition of the 1978 edition of The Stand (I couldn't believe it when I found it in a garage sale)! I tried to contain myself until after I had paid, but I'm sure the owner knew something was up by my squealing voice and the fact I was squirting all over the place. In any case, these are my only two beauties; you are way ahead of me, my friend. I loved the opportunity to see everything. Thanks!
@theroamer23552 жыл бұрын
Hey everyone. I just started reading THE STAND about a couple of weeks ago. It’s the uncut and extended version. I guess that could be the start of my Dark Tower journey, since I know already that Randall Flagg Carry’s over into that series, but I’m still reading to find out how and why. It’s pretty interesting so far. I’m on the chapter where Larry Underwood and Rita Blackmoor, I think her name is, are leaving New York, and are about to go into the Lincoln Tunnel. I’ve heard it’s a creepy scene in the book, so I’m excited to read that part.

Your collection of king is the way i am with Koontz! Haha it’s so cool! I wish I could get into king I want to so bad I have tried at least 6 times and I just can’t get into him. Crazy cause I love koontz and I only watch horror I am beyond well versed in horror cinema. Maybe I’ll try again with king and if I try the right novel he will finally click. I do own the regulators and desperation but haven’t tried…..

Such an awesome collection! I’ve been buying some of the Stephen King Cemetery Dance editions on eBay ever since I saw some of your earlier videos; but only if I can get a good deal of course. Also, have you seen the Jim Phiesen Doubleday editions? They’re nothing spectacular, but they’re a nice add on to the collection if you don’t already have them.

Started reading King in 1976. Ive been reading him ever since. Im a retired bookseller(35 years) At one time I had the Dark Tower collection,Cemetary Dance,signed and numbered. (My asshole ex- husband sold it ) I dont know if you care ,but all your h.c. collection should be laying down. Wrecks the bindings standing up. Most people don't care. Just a caution. God I wish I still had my collection! I'm very jealous of your book collection! Beautiful 💕

Maybe I missed them (you have a lot of books) but if you don't have the Barnes & Noble leatherbound editions you should get them. They are beautiful for displaying purposes, gilded edges and all. The Carrie/Salem's Lot/The Shining Omnibus comes in two different editions. Gorgeous and quite cheap. I heard that the Folio Society are going to release The Dark Tower series. That will break the bank for sure... I have to start saving up...

Do you wrap all your books in mylar yourself? Or do you have someone or like a book store do it for you? If you do it yourself, what product do you use? It makes the books looks so good! And I’m sure the added protection is great too

No I’ve never actually bought my own Mylar covers. Usually when buying older books online I would try and find copies that clearly said were covered with them. I agree though they do keep them looking sharp.
