Stephen King YOU LIKE IT DARKER book review

I’m lagging in my timeline order reading of Stephen King’s works. I stalled out somewhere in the middle of Dreamcatcher. Ugh lol but after finishing some Lovecraft I’ll make my way back around to finishing it and continuing forward. Love your reviews as always and Toby!

Thank you so much Dan. I can't blame you for stalling out on DREAMCATCHER, It's a pretty dreadful novel and it spawned an even worse film adaptation. Lovecraft is a wonderful cure! Good to see you as always and thanks again. Toby says MEOW!

I only have "The Answer Man" left to read. I'm excited to get to it. Thus far, it starts off really strong. I think the middle few stories, "Finn" in particular, were shoulder shrugs. But I loved "Laurie", "Rattlesnakes", and "The Dreamers".

The Answer Man is my favorite. The way it concludes really moved me.

I'm surprised Cujo got a sequel, but why has King never done a follow up to Firestarter?! That one has such an open ending.

Maybe the dreadful film sequel FIRESTARTER: REKINDLED put him off on the idea. While he obviously isn't a writer who his averse to sequels when you think about it he actually has done quite a few, although many are sort of indirect sequels or just references to previous characters and books. To me none of them were scary, but more like a bad detective story. Except "weird willy". I liked that one!
