Stephen is as much of a genius collector as he is a composer. I love his Rain Parade/ Opal/ Dream Syndicate endorsement- and came back for the Carl Orff rec which IS really good! thanks Amoeba! I love how Billy Corgan has continued to rip on them. Billy Corgan is in a few rock docs about older bands that influenced him, and in one he talks about the Jesus and Mary Chain and how their first record, one of my favorites, Psychocandy has a distinct sound throughout it, and how he tried to do the same, and immediately it dawned on me that Siamese Dream is his attempt at doing a JMC record, which ruined his only record for me because now I can't unhear the bad imitation Mary Chain in that record.
