If you haven’t met Stephen Nye already, you need to. Stephen is a local legend in the VW community here in So Cal and has been into Volkswagens since he was 13 years old! Not only is he a wealth of knowledge, but he has some fantastic stories to share, and I couldn’t help myself in nudging him to have him as a guest, and ask him to share one of his many “bus adventures” and funniest stories that cracked me up. Eddy my ‘67 Standard bug has that wacky rubber carpet material, it’s the same material VW used behind the rear seat in the late 60’s! Interesting yellow bug!

Beautiful 67. My Grandfather bought my mom a 67 VW Blue brand new when she graduated HS and my dad, who was a hot rodder, promptly stripped it and repainted it. My grandfather was not really thrilled, to say the least!! 😂

It’s ok. My pops was an artist and amazing craftsman. He went on to become a finish carpenter so I’m sure the paint looked amazing. 😊
