Love these type 3's rare as rocking horse 💩 in the UK but the patina on this one is brilliant I like the fastbacks the only thing that puts me off buying one is parts availability but cruising with one of these in the UK would be cool

Yeah, they are definitely a different beast when driving. They are much smoother and easier to drive than other VWs and feel quite smooth. As far as finding spares goes, it’s actually not that bad. There are a few different places, including ISP West who specialize in type threes.

I bought my old '63 Notch from original owner in Burbank, having only owned bugs before... I set out to "restore it" not knowing how hard the parts were to come by even 20yrs ago... i tore out the vinyl flooring mats he had, i also threw away the original white cap fuel pump... yeah, the T3 purists had a field day with me... Embarrassing story but I learned a lot from being an idiot

The squareback should be all the average person should need for most of daily needs. What do you one person driving a SUV or truck. I saw one old lady driving a Hyundai SUV. She has to be plus 75. Talk about overkill. The masses have fallen for big trucks and big SUV. Big is better. Big BMW SUV have gotten to big the have help assist to parallel park.
