"Three Days" is raw, unadulterated magic.

But if there was no Led Zeppelin or rolling stone. Janes couldn’t do it same way. Or Dave took a lot off mr Jimmy Hendrix.

@@RipRider916 And John McGeoch and Carlos Santana. Dave's combination of jazz, latin, rock and blues is what makes him my favourite guitarist of the late 80s by a country mile. Janes were probably the only psych jazz rock band in history.

Such an easygoing guy. He is the underrated man of the band.

I met Steve briefly in London. I was so nervous cause I was there on tour too. Nicest guy. Down to earth. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to talk more damn nerves.

Perkins is the template and game changer to all drumming after Jane's hit the scene. Everybody I played music with wanted to steal Jane's beats.

Veer Chasm He Fucking rocks, just started really getting into them at 56, that three days video the one with Dave Navarro and Dope Face. Didn't fit with RHCP, Rocks ASS with Janes Addiction.

“Three Days” is Jane’s Addiction’s Bohemian Rahpsody.

Then she di(e)d... so closely linked to the 3 Days lyrics too. My favourite Janes song too. Such an unusual structure and intensely vulnerable and personal lyric about loss.

I thought Nirvana didn't meet Dave until 1990...

I love Jane's and Nirvana but Grohl didn't know Cobain until Buzz from the Melvins introduced them in like 1991 or something
@jessielakes81186 ай бұрын
That's impossible. Nirvana was together before then. I think so anyway
@djefferson5669Ай бұрын
@@jessielakes8118 Nirvana had five different drummers before Grohl joined in 1990. Cobain and Grohl didn't meet until the fall of 1990.
@jessielakes8118Ай бұрын
@@djefferson5669 Oh I see. So Grohl wasn't playing on the Bleach recording then I guess? I don't know their detailed history though I did read one book about Cobain. I don't recall any of the former band members though, I barely know the other two's names who got famous with him.

I give respect to the members of Janes Addiction, but Eric described Stephen and Dave as just doing what there told.
@higbyprigby96484 ай бұрын
Well Eric said he played/approached his bass like a rhythm guitar…. and he wrote everything outside of ritual. Dave does just follow and texture while being the biggest fan of R Smith and Daniel Ash. Perkins not having ideas? Giving suggestive direction is how it’s done sometimes. Good grief.
