What year is this 1982 or 1988? Did all 10 stages get demolished or become unusable? I was under the impression that many of the original Elstree soundstages are still around.

Think it was 1988(as Spielberg was making "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" at the time. Half the stages got demolished and turned into a Tesco supermarket. The studios were partially saved, but they are half the size now. Things like : "Strictly Come Dancing" and "The Crown" get made there.

Such a shame. Half of it got sold to Tesco. Spielberg and Lucas wanted to buy it, and save it. At the same time, I think Peter Greenaway was going to make “The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover”.
