I was 21 and working late with buddy in a kitchen. We thought the building was empty after the banquet, but Judy Collins was staying in the guest suite. We didn't know, and we were singing at the tops of our lungs. She came down to check out what was going on. We sang for her, she sang for us, we talked. She treated us peasants so well. Classy woman. The love of singing united three us for half an hour.

Meanwhile the next morning . . . Manager: "Hey, you guys didn't get things cleaned up very well last night." Cooks: "Sorry, we started jamming with Judy Collins and I guess we got distracted." Manager: "Well, OK, I'm going to let it slide this time . . ."

@@markburnham7512 His guitar playing was only one part of his total package IMO. His ability to write, sing, produce, and deliver his music in his style was what I really liked. I loved Manassas, did that at a very young age. His solo albums, one song in particular, "Love Story"...still blows me away, shows his versatility.

Photographed Judy in Denver for an article in the Denver Post (she is from Denver and at the time, still had a house there). The article was published in 1972. I had the opportunity to photograph her again a few years ago and give her some prints of the session in 1972. I believe she was happy to have them.

They remind me of Stevie Nicks and Linsey Buckingham. Truth is once you are in a long-term relationship in love and it falls apart, you never really let -go completely. That person is always a part of your life, you cannot just erase them. Been there done that.

If you really wanna see how cool Neil is, look for the interview where they show him at home playing with his wheelchair-bound special needs son. Neil is a big model train nerd, and he and his son are running trains on a huge layout. Both are wearing old timey engineer hats and having a blast. I’ve always known Neil was a musical talent with few peers, but he’s also an awesome Dad.

Like many old women - and men - she’s self-conscious about age-related hair loss. Also, like many men who wear obvious toupees, she overcompensates. She should tell Stills about his speaking voice and he should tell her about her too big wig.

Let's check you out at 80, OK? He was diagnosed with congenital progressive hearing loss at age NINE - everything he wrong, sang and played was dealing with that. He's now virtually 100% and it's not correctible by hearing aids and in case you are unaware, you need to hear in order to speak effectively. I'm just glad he's still around. He's a bluesman and has seen a lot and lived a lot. Grateful for him.

I thought he left his upper denture on some plane but no, all his teeth are there. Noticed this in an interview about 6 months ago. Now, at age whatever, he’s lisping? Oh, hearing loss! Had no idea that could speech, but it makes sense. Now, next question-why is Judy wearing SO much makeup? Surely she’s not insecure.

Someone who once worked for him did mention an inherited nerve problem that had affected his speech. Don't know if it's true or not, but there could be a medical reason for that. As for the wig and makeup -- age, you guys. I'm 68. Age is rarely kind to any of us.
