Wonderboy's goals when contrasted against his great health and lack of scars is just amazing. He may be incredibly durable,but his defense is awesome. To seek out the hard fight and remain so healthy showcases his incredible talent. His record of 24 fights is 17/1/6 against the best in the business and he is still the best interview, a great podcaster, and no cauliflower. He's amazing..

I think it's unfair to say that colby's not used to strikers like Leon. He recently dominated Masvidal who's a phenomenal striker with good wrestling defense.... Colby had also trained with Masvidal and some really good strikers of ATT for a very long time.... Colby is certainly used to fighters like Leon. As far as Usman is concerned,he took Leon Edwards down & controlled him in their second encounter for majority of the fight until the headkick landed.... In the third encounter,Usman was gunshy but did fairly well... Thus,I think Covington wins this fight by an unanimous decision.. I think Wonderboy is looking at the outcome of this fight from an emotional pt of view rather than a technical one....

As always great to see Wonderboy being open to taking on a challenge such as Shavkat (especially since nobody else In the division was willing to fight him, he gets my respect for that). And I also agree on his prediction with Leon and Colby. 👍 People forget, but Wonderboy precisely predicted how Leon would KO Usman with his signature head-kick In their 2nd fight, when he pinpointed that Usman has a tendency to duck his head towards an opponent rather than move away or block/parry, which leaved him exposed to getting caught the way he did. Kamaru Usman did a good job In working the body of Colby with those hooks he was digging In (which Colby drop his hands more), before he finished him. And everytime he would get the better of Colby In the striking exchanges each time he did this. Leon will do the same, with the only difference being that he'll be willing mix In the kicks with his great Muay Thai, and set up the kick with his hands alot more than Usman, to make Colbys relentless pace not as effective as the fight goes on. And since Colby doesn't have a high striking accuracy (lower than Usman), Isn't as strong. and also no power of chinning Leon on the feet. Leon will be more aggressive, which will only make It harder for Colby to adjust since he needs the fear of the TD to set up his striking, but with Leon he won't get the time of day to do so.

I think it’s a stylistically horrible matchup for Leon. Covington is much different than usman. I think it will look similar to Covington versus Jorge. Watching Leon fight he does get overwhelmed. Sometimes even Brian Barberena knocked him down.

I just don’t see how Leon wins outside of a early head kick. Jorge and Leon are very similar. They both have good take down defense. They both get up good. Covington will just take you back down and let you back up. Over and over and over. I think it’s going to be a one-sided fight and like you said Leon will be looking for a late finish. Covington won’t make the mistake though by giving Leon space at the end.

I strongly believe Wonderboy is taking this one home. I have a feeling that we are overestimating Shavkat. He is not as good as everyone thinks. So far he hasn't fought any top 5 fighter. Last time Geof Neil gave him such a hard time. Shavkat almost lost the fight. Considering Geof Neil was far from fit in that fight. Neither his striking nor his grappling is of the championship level. He is just a well rounded fighter.
