Not being able to remember a period of time before and after being KO’ed is the strangest feeling. Coming out of it and being somewhere else from where you last remember yourself is a mind trip, and having people explain to you things you were doing and not remembering doing them. Him talking about the experience of losing your consciousness resonated with me. I sometimes have epileptic seizures, and it's the same feeling. I once had a serieus one and didn't wake up for 3 days. Stephen says he felt like he "teleported". I couldn't agree more. It's literally felt like 1 second and I couldn't remember anything. I got knocked out snowboarding when I was like 18. After my buddies took me to the doctor they had to lock me in my room and taped a paper on the door with answers to a bunch of questions cuz apparently I kept laying down, then getting up 10 min later and asking the same several questions over and over again. Must have been hilarious for them.
@zachwyatt80703 жыл бұрын
I've been knocked out before and I can tell you that is 100% accurate you literally have no recollection of what happened or how it happened. I came back into Consciousness and I was in the stands, I looked over at one of my teammates and asked him when I was going to fight. He said "dude you already fought, you got knocked out." I didn't believe him until he showed me the clip. It was such a weird feeling not knowing what happened and I was trying to play the fight back in my head but the only thing I can remember even to this day, is touching gloves in the middle and that's the last thing that I remember happening 😂
@johnoster40983 жыл бұрын
Whats funny is the harder you get hit, the more you forget. Ive been KOd in two fights and forgot them both, but only the fights. When I got my face destroyed by a steering wheel with no airbags I forgot the week leading up to the accident and 3 weeks after it, even though I was semi-conscious. Memory in regards to brain damage is a strange thing.
@zachwyatt80703 жыл бұрын
@@johnoster4098 yeah exactly, and what's even crazier to me is that when I got knocked out I guess I got up, got out of the ring signed my medical suspension paperwork and walked all the way to the stands before I actually came back into Consciousness I don't know how long I was like that but it had to be a pretty considerable amount of time because I also changed out of my gear, and have no idea how I did it, it was like my body was on autopilot 😂

It's really odd being really knocked out cold. I caught a tire on a BMX bike and end overed landing square on my head, no helmet like a total dumb fuck, and woke up in the ER 2 hours later with zero memory of about 12 hours of my life. For some reason like 5 years later I woke up one morning and the entire thing was clear as day with the exception of a few minuets after the initial impact. I knew exactly what happened, I remember the ambulance ride, my best friend calling an ambulance (he said he was 100% sure I had broken my neck and shattered my skull and if he hadnt seen me breathing would have assumed I was gone). It was nuts. Obviously I had a pretty good concussion but other than being a bit loopy for a day I had zero injury or lasting issues. Fucking blessed.

Wonderboy's only mark after all these years was from an accidental clash of heads from his last fight with Geoff Neal that he dominated. Pretty cool scar above his right eye brow.

I was knocked out in a car accident and my family said that I was talking to the paramedics at the scene and I was asking the same question over and over again. Thing is I don't remember any of that. I also felt I was teleported from the moment I left the gym after lifting to the ICU. My sister said she was gonna smack me if I had asked "what happened?" again. I get it Wonderboy, I get it lol

As much as I would say love to see John Brzenk because hes the GOAT Devon is just much more witty and talkative. Whereas John is quite and kinda camera shy. They call him the _quiet_ storm for a reason lol.

I'm from right down the street from him (before he moved into a mansion). Its amazing to have such a humble fighter from your town. Wouldn't prefer to have anyone else. Simpsonville represent!

I lived down street from him in summerwalk when his little brother now big brother Tony was just a little 4-5 year old.. I can almost guarantee anytime I see a movie in theaters and only 5 people are there, it’s me and my wife and then Stephen his dad and bro(s) If I had their money I’d have my own huge theater but I do know they have a movie room in their mansion
