As a black woman I just want to say that I’m tired of race being the focal point of every topic. This woman is undeniably a great athlete and it’s unfair that her accomplishments are being overshadowed by jealousy, hatred, pettiness, resentment and prejudice. All I have to say is Caitlin don’t ever allow anyone to dull your shine….. It’s your time to shine so in the words of Rhianna “shine bright like a diamond.”
@hottrakz24 күн бұрын
I understand Caitlin Clark may be getting some of the heat but as a black woman you should understand your own struggles and understand the resentment towards you and the jealousy towards you. Caitlin Clark definitely deserves credit for what she has done and is a great athlete however this was a problem that was happening prior to Caitlin Clark and as a black woman and will be pleasing to see you fight for yourself and your own. I don't think people are jealous of her. Have to be careful with the jealousy remarks because only the people who are objecting to her understand their motives. Nobody's taking anything out on Caitlin Clark they are just speaking the truth and she just happens to be in the position who are receiving benefits.

She's living her best life; ROTY, 1st team All WNBA, courtside at Pacers games, playing events on the LPGA/PGA. Magazine covers, etc. None of that is going to change if a bunch of you pearl clutchers take your basketballs and go home. I think you'll ultimately be disappointed that your absence isn't going to change a thing for her. She's still going to hoop and try to win a championship. And even if you quit going to games and buying the merchandise, what's remaining will still be vastly more than before she showed up. Not skin color but practice, practice, dedication, perseverance, dedication. She does not think she is owed anything, but needs to earn whatever she receives. If it was anti-black racism that the WNBA was so unpopular for all these years, then why has the NBA been so popular, they have just as many black players? It's because of the quality of play and the raunchy attitudes in the W, that's why. And CC is a breath of fresh air, both in her game as well as her personality and demeanor.

Ms. Clark is an AMAZING player, who brought the national media spotlight to the WNBA like no one else ever has. But in contrast to so many celebrities these days, she is always thoughtful and gracious - and never fails to acknowledge the contributions of others. We can only hope that she becomes a “role model” in that way, too - in addition to her unbelievable athletic skills. She didn’t ask to be put at the center of a social media firestorm, or a national conversation about race - but she’s handled it admirably. Having lived in Iowa City as a child, I WILL be buying a pair of CC Nike signature shoes when they come out. Thanks Steven A., for focusing on something important & not all the noise.

When Michel Jordan came into the NBA, a lot of people didn’t like him either, and resented him, because he had a shoe with his name on it, which no professional basketball player had at that time. Don’t take this wrong, I’m not saying that she’s as great as Jordan, but the attention that she’s bringing to the WNBA is very similar.

Caitlin single handedly brought enormous attention to the WNBA. To bend the knee to the very people who hate you because you are head and shoulders better than them is a tragic error and a good way to lose 150 million fans IMMEDIATELY. You had ZERO privilege being able to shoot 40 foot threes. ZERO privilege working 100 times harder than the rest and exercising egregious discipline your whole life focusing on yourabilities. This is a skill that nobody has other than her and Steph. Never bend the knee to those who can barely walk and chew gum. huge mistake.

I’m Black and I’m sick of the crybaby race shit from black players. Obviously you guys played but didn’t bring it to heights as CC did. Cut the race shit out and stop crying my god. This is why the nba is losing rating because of the left liberal ideas and woke shit. CC just stuck in the middle when all she want to do is hoop lmao, so it’s damned if you do damned if you don’t. In my eyes she played her cards right for now. Basically she telling all you lefties shutup and stop crying like little babies.

🤔 CC DIDN'T have to mention the players that came before her to be accepted by her peers. It's society/system that keeps chaos & nonsense going on to keep folks having to choose a side. There was nothing wrong OR divisive that CC said. Most folks that take issues with her comments are some of the folks that entertain divisiveness & profits from it imo. Good segment SA. ✌🏾
