For everyone saying that Kaitlyn Clark (I apologize if I spelled her name wrong), is only getting these great offers, because of her race ... I'm a 60 year old, black man, who's been involved with basketball since I could walk ... No !!! Kaitlyn Clark is receiving these offers, because she worked her ass off, to become one of the most prolific basketball players I've ever seen, and it's ridiculous and infuriating to me, that she's being treated this way. If the other players are SO jealous ... Maybe they should spend more time in the gym and maybe ask Ms. Clark for some pointers !!!

Clark’s ability to draw interest from overseas markets has a lot to do with who she is, together with how she plays. Caitlin Clark is an intelligent, talented, type-A, white, heterosexual without a ratchety-ass bone in her body. She is honest, clean and respectful. CC is also refreshing in the sense she’s not vain really as she has her own hair (no purplish polyester) and it’s the color with which she was probably born. She’s got no tattoos or fake eyelashes, no fake fingernails, no fake hair, no fake attitude, no fake anything I suspect. CC seems to be about as genuine and authentic in every way. No sass or ugly behavior, no blatant fouls (assaults, really, is what CC has endured on the court), no horrendous makeup, you feel me? CC doesn’t act like some ratchety-ass hoodrat and treats everyone with respect. Caitlin Clark is tearing things up and putting people on notice without ever saying a word, using only her actions, excellent attitude and high basketball IQ. I don’t think she ever speaks badly about anyone, even those who are trying like heck to make her life miserable while she is trying to raise the barre for women’s basketball. Clark’s awesome behavior has affected the lives, in tiny ways, of a lot of folks on and off the court and they like her. She is probably the most positive woman in the WNBA and I think she reflects many old school values people remember and enjoy seeing. That’s why people like Caitlin Clark above a snorter like Chlamydia Carter or the mebounder Angel Reese.

I call BS on Clark being babied. She’s been bullied since she came into the league. Clark has showed nothing but class on and off of the court. The commissioner should have put her foot down and let some of the players that have targeted Clark to knock it off. They’re jealous, petty and caddy because they’re not setting records like Clark has and then want to call it a racial issue. 13:04 These ladies need to remember they are professional athletes and are looked up to by young female athletes. They’re not setting a good example to the younger generation by going after one player and then trying to say she’s getting things handed to her because she’s white is disgusting. Clark is so talented and unfortunately these ladies are truly jealous. She is a truly gifted, talented athlete. I commend Clark for her class on the court and not trash talking. Women cheering on the sidelines when someone on the court took Clark to the floor, that’s disgusting behavior. The Commissioner needs to get a handle on these ladies behavior and stop this type of behavior on and off the court or people won’t want to come out to games anymore. Nobody wants to watch such toxicity.
@marcusfenix9534Ай бұрын
I agree. I would also add this whole situation points to a larger problem amongst black women in general. You mention the caddy behavior, pettiness and jealousy of select players. All of this was ingrained in them since they were kids. Those negative traits rear their heads in adulthood and it explains why the collective image is poor across the board. The commissioner won't put a stop to it for the same reason law enforcement can't or won't carry out their duties: fear of backlash and the narrative becoming a racial one. Then there will be "black players matter" mantra going around until the commissioner reverses course or resigns. Professionalism goes out the door for the same reasons. "We are oppressed and therefore my attitude is a reflection of pain, trauma, hurt......". No accountability of any kind. 100% agree she has been targeted since day 1, especially the sage between her and Angel Reese. Clark's own teammates turning their backs is inexcusable and the betrayal is palpable. In the field, we're taught to trust the man to our left and right during a firefight. Where is her team? I would employ the LBJ approach and take my talents elsewhere and leave all the bs behind. It's not about quitting or giving up. It's about the HOE phase: Happiness over everything.

Or start learning a thing or two about marketing, likaeability, contract negotiations and advertisement to other leagues. This was the crux of the women's soccer team losing their case. They negotiated for weaker incentives and actually got paid more than the men from a cumulative stance. Angel Reese, Asia, Liz Cambage, Carrington etc heed this advice and heed it good: take off the pterodactyl lashes, open your eyes with no blinders on and start making moves like Caitlyn did. You cannot possibly think a person should stick around an organization that openly disrespects them and is filled with hostilities. Learn how to negotiate better deals without getting in your feelings, showing your ass because you upset and actually learn some comprehension skills to understand the world around you.

I've been saying for MONTHS CC should play in Europe. They would be HAPPY to have her, and WNBA would sink back into the muck and mire from which they were LIFTED by Caitlin Clark.

Everything that they had done to her and shows how poorly the WNBA is and how much jealousy there is over a better player than who they are

And these other women wonder why they're not making the money or nearly as popular as Caitlin Clark. These other women in the WNBA are a disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves.... I never watched a WNBA game before Caitlin Clark came along

CC should leave this toxic league before she gets maimed. There’s so much hatred among the other players because on the envy. They want what CC got and that’s panache in the way she plays and handles herself. 🤨

The fouls she endured were egregious and obvious to a non basketball fan! These players should be removed from the league. I was surprised her teammates didn't come to her defense... that's shameful...

It’s not about deserving. You’re only worth what someone is willing to pay you. A lot of NBA , NFL players got massive contracts and were a bust. It seems like instead of growing their product to the world. They shut it down with their jealousy and entitlement.

The “Vets” who think just because they played in the league longer, they should be paid more. Well if they generated the explosive interest as CC has, they would be in a position to get more. Now the are DEMANDING charity welfare. Do something extraordinary that boosts ticket sales & merchandising deserving of attention. Otherwise, no one GAS about you.

Aja's 3 MVP is simply a token. I say this because she was promised she would "win" at the start of the season. I cannot speak for any others simply because i have not even heard of her until CC joined.
