I told my brother I needed some marbles to make lazy Susan's. He brought me a 5 gallon bucket half full of "vintage" one's for me to sort. Which led me to you and your amazing knowledge and valuable content! I never understood marble collectors until now. Thanks for the great content.

Great video and info! I'm on my 3rd year of vintage marble collecting and have switched my focus to Christensen in the last 6 months or so. They really are something to behold and it's extremely exciting to find a superb example in a cheap lot at auction. I plan to one day document my collection and share it with the world but I have many more years before then.

Dude, these are all great videos. I dig and collect bottles but just started about a year ago with marbles. Bottle identification and dating is a cake walk compared to identifying and dating marbles. I used to just ignore 1920-60s bottle dumps but now I dig in them all the time just for the marbles.

You have the best display of vintage marbles I've ever seen. The way they're all categorized blows me away, the colors are so stunning on every marble you have. I am just in awe of everything you have. I have quite the collection myself but still buying cause I'm addicted to the colors and how they lay on and inside the marbles. You're very educated on the various styles of each marble that came from the individual companies. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with these beautiful orbs, I learn something every time you post a video. Happy hunting😉

Stephan, i have watched so many of your fabulous marble 15:45 it has helped me so much. I dug my marbles out recently and I'm in the process of selling them. Because of your great videos i am pleasantly surprised that i have some treasure. The problem is that there is a box of about 150 marbles i can't id. First i believed they were Ravenswood. Then Christianson. They are heavily swirled and marbled with lots of color. There are a few errors, such as the pontil is inverted. I don't remember where i got them. No provinance unfortunately. Where can i get help. I think these are special and i like to research and become knowledgeable about what i sell. Thank you.

Wow - Thank you for such an invaluable resource! Your videos are thoughtfully edited and very well produced. I've recently begun working with the family of a lifelong, prolific marble collector, sorting out the estate and trying to make heads or tales of the innumerable collections of marbles and glassware assembled over nearly a century... I should have started my research here! I've learned more in 30 minutes than I have in weeks of casual reference on forums and every Block book I could get my hands on 😊. If you're available to contact, I would love to share some photos and pick your brain on a few sets of marbles I'm still a little cloudy on. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

I collected marbles when I was little and unfortunately a neighborhood kid stole them. I'm now living in an 1850 farmhouse in PA and during renovations finding all kinds of toys mostly from the 60s n 70s. Along with razors, old canning jars and tiny medicine n even strychnine bottles. I found 3 marbles so far and I must say they made me the happiest I think! I have one I've never seen before and wanted to watch your videos to identify. Thank you for the videos. They'r beautifully done! Could I possibly email you a pic of the marbles and you tell me your thoughts.

Hi Kitty Kat and thank you. Most Christensens stay around 9/16” - 5/8” . Their slags can be found at around 3/4” . The yellow glass on their swirls can often glow orange, and their white glass May glow green. I hope that helps !

Not sure if you still monitor this video but what size might the "Jenny" marbles be? I found one the size of a modern day marble but it looks hand blown to me. Ruby red transparent base with a mostly white and yellow swirl. Oh and it's incredibly old. I found it in a bottle dump (they were all broken but one bottle must've been collected since it says 1867 on it) and the only intact glass was a small two inch tall milk glass jar and the single solitary marble.
