Palmer and Gordon on either side of wings and Mainoo alongside Rice brings a lot more balance to the team. Bowen a Big No. Palmer has that X factor like Grealish or Rashford have, which England are lacking without him. I hope ste it's not palmer hatered the reason for being biased.

Yes to playing Mainoo. Been calling for him to start since the first game. Interesting idea to sack Southgate mid tournament - it certainly worked for the Ivory Coast once they'd sacked Chris Hughton. On the flip side I think a lot of the players are loyal to him and wouldn't react well to it. Plus who do you trust the FA to replace him with mid tournament? Could be farcical. Agree that England have been the worst team to watch at the Euros Watkins in for Kane. I'd drop Rice and play Mainoo with Wharton and Bellingham. Gordon on the left and Saka on right.

Bellingham is not a cam, he is more of a cm. Actually southgate didn't really have a cam, the player word have more creativity is kane when he drop deep and make play. Maybe kane as 10 and a striker infront or other option foden as cam.

To get Kane and Bellingham on song Foden needs to be dropped. Those 3 love drifting in similar spaces. Get runners on the wing, that way you have wingers and Bellingham that can run beyond Kane when he drops deep. Such a team can stretch the pitch and still have numbers in the box for cut backs or crosses. If its not working then you can bring in the players that thrive in small spaces and off the ball movement

So you want a midfield with little mobility or passing range, wide players who’s only ability is pace, and a striker with no pedigree? You might as well just ask Bellingham to win games on his own. You basically want England to play like Utd this year in praying Bruno does something special to win the game and you have been complaining about it all year while saying City are the best team in the league who squeeze Foden, Silva, and KDB into a team and look like the best team in the world doing it. An elite coach should have no problem getting Bellingham, Foden, and Palmer onto the pitch. Bellingham at 8, Foden at 10, with Palmer on the right and getting them to work well together. Unfortunately we have Southgate. Gordon would probably have to play on the left as we don’t have anyone better right now in the squad and rest of the starting 11 virtually pick themselves. You could bring on Watkins and Bowen for pace when opposition legs are tired but I would not expect much from them at this level. The only thing I agree on is Mainoo really, he could easily start for England if you dropped Foden which I would probably prefer if England play a side where we aren’t expected to have as much possession.

Palmer needs to play in place of both Saka and Foden, both of them have been utterly ineffective, put Palmer and Bowen, both can run behind and Palmer is good receiving and creating, just simplify the midfield with Rice Bellingham and Mainoo, and an Occasional Gallagher for legs when required, keep Bellingham and Mainoo fresh. Don't have a left back? Fine put 4 defenders to sit because now you have runners behind with Kane dropping in 10 and Bellingham making forward runs with wingers. A bunch of nobody KZbin football enthusiasts can come up with multiple such simple direct solutions but Southgate can't because he's picking names not roles.

Isn't this just the same old thing for England? Choosing all the supposed best players and not making up an actual decent team. I think I saw Gary Neville with a best 11 of Englands golden generation and it had Beckham at RWB and Cole at LWB. Absolute garbage team. Playing Scholes out of position to cater for Lampard and Gerard when a midfield of Carrick, Scholes, Lampard(or Gerard) would have had balance, composure, playmaking, goals, everything. I'm not entirely sure why but it seems to be an England thing to also think that the second and third best player in a position could be better at a different position than the best player in that position. I've barely played any football, only a small bit at school, but knowing sport in general you never win just by having all the best players, usually by being the best team, but quite often by being more disciplined and executing together even if individually the players are not better than the opposition team.

There are players not running at all, and then running into each other in the middle. It's mental; just get a left side going. Much as I really like Southgate as a progressor of the England team narrative etc. he is not capable of making brave decisions. Gordon has to play. I would make a case for Rashy even, if he was around. There is no left! No jab at Trippier who I rate very highly, but he's been stuck in a poor place.
