Roger Pang Oh gosh, it's been a long while since I finished that playthrough and last updated the map... I'd almost be tempted to say it was the latest version? Whichever one they played was pretty similar to the final product, from what I remember.

Roger Pang Ooh, gotcha. Well, admittedly, some stuff was swapped around between versions, and some was either downright added or removed. For example, there used to be a diamond sword in a chest near the beginning, on the little balcony after parkour, but that was back when the map had almost no fighting - it was changed to stone a few versions later, haha. Probably not gonna update it more now, so whatever number it's at now is most likely final!

This idea can't work as planned because all the cups past Flower Cup and Banana Cup will have to be unlocked. This means that in order for you two to play all the Cups and Courses in the game for the LP finale, you will have to play through the game at least once to get everything. It can't be done blind. Thumb this up so they can see.

The only way it CAN work is if MK8 has two player GP unlike MKWii.

It will work regardless. They will most likely play on all *available cups* they can when they get it at launch, then proceed once everything is unlocked. From the point when they will play on Star Cup and Leaf Cup, practice won't really matter because they will be familiar with the mechanics from the first cups anyway. They are on the same footing from here and on.

Actually, they could play the first two modern cups, then go back and unlock the other modern cups, and then do the same with the retro cups

Yo, Mr. and Mrs. George, I have a suggestion for you: You tied the whole LP. May I recommend a method of sudden death: 1. Roll a die. If it lands on 1 or 2, you use Mario Kart 64; 3 or 4, you use Double Dash; 5 or 6, you use MKWii. 2. Flip a coin. Heads, Stephen goes first, and tails, Mal goes first. 3. Go to the game dictated by the die rolling. Have that game randomly select a track for you. 4. In the order determined by the coin-flip, you each do a time trial on the randomly-selected track. 5. Fastest time wins the whole LP... the whole kit-n-kaboodle! Everyone, thumbs up if you wanna see this.

FSSZilla Don't worry about it, seriously! Stephen and Mal tend to play rough like that and I know first hand that even really close friends do the same, but don't actually mean it. Stephen is not trying to be discourteous or impolite/forceful to his wife with the intention to make her and/or anyone else feel uncomfortable, it's just how it goes.

I actually would love to see a blind playthrough of Mario Kart 8 as a tiebreaker because then it's anybody's game and anything can happen, whether it'll be a blessing or a curse. I'm also glad that Mal tied up the game with that Retro Battle, and I am going to continue to root for #TeamMal because I would really love it if Mal finally won a versus LP for once. My trick for most Mario Kart DS courses is that, on courses with wholes like in the haunted mansion map. I would always get a mushroom. And I would ram into someone near the edge of the map. The mushroom will steal 1 balloon, while the fall will knock out another balloon. Because some CPU's like to carry 2 balloons instead of 3, it could cause instant elimination.

One fault with the idea of Mario Kart 8 is the fact that, Mario Karts latest titles only had the first 2 cups unlocked for new stages and retro stages, which means only 4 cups will be available, and the only way to unlock the other ones is to do Grand Prix with them, which is unavailable for multiplayer in DS, Wii, and 7, so I assume 8 will be the same. Also, some hidden battle stages, but you guys probably don't care about that.
