A couple of contemporary queer recs I have are Breaks (volume 2 just released) by Emma Viecelli, Blue is the warmest colour (mature), and then other contemporary recs are This One Summer, What We Don’t Talk About and Blue Pills which I have only just received and not read.

Two middle grade contemporary graphic novels: They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, and When the Stars are Scattered by Victoria Jamieson and Oman Mohamed. And I vote yes for the fantasy graphic novel video!

omg fence and check please are amazing. i would recommend the sisters series by raina telgemeirer and drama also written by her, cub by cynthia l copeland and finally stargazing by jen wang all these are middle grade graphic memoirs. finally this book i read during time i was having trouble with my mental health i saw it on literary diversions and i know it was one that lianne loved it is called hyperbole and a half by allie brosh like heartstopper it was a web comic. allie has just released another book which i bought straight away and it is called solutions and other problems.
