Squash is full of water!therefore you do not need that qt.jar of water,.maybe three fourths of a cup will do.therefore no draining.😊

My husband told me years ago to start running cold water when you drain anything that has cooked, to prevent any harm to the pipes. I have no idea if that is true but have done it now for over 20 years so now it’s automatic hahahaha. I’m gardening for the first time this year and growing squash and zucchini. I wonder if a combination of both would taste just as good ? We make what we call a veggie mix that a lot of campers would know about that uses foil with almost anything you would want in it and placed in a fire or over a tripod. What I’m casually getting at is we use both squash and zucchini with onions and other veggies and meat and it tastes great. I’m going to have to try that if they live through the temps and high heat we are having with drought
