What a HUGE update last week. STEPN has really made changes that have made us have so much more fun in the current version, the gamification is very real and there's so much to learn.
I explain some of the points to consider in the current system of Mystery Boxes, Gems have 9 levels and Sockets have 5 levels, did you know that?

I was attempting to transfer my runner shoe to my wallet and it said I would purge a mystery box if I did that, and then I check my loot boxes and there’s nothing there but I have a resilience socket available to be unlocked for 10 GST. Is that what the app is talking about (the thing that will be purged) and is it worth it to open it? Thanks

you would be aiming to stay above 50%, if you fall below 50% durability your earning will only be 90% efficiency

So you can't get to level 30 anymore? Thats probably why i can't find any level 29 or 30 sneakers in the market place. Can you tell me if its still possible to get level 5 gems because i have never seen one of those in the marketplace either. Lastly do you think they might ever bring back getting sneakers from mystery boxes?

sometime you see a lvl 30 fot sale, ppl trying to get a hype price for them, hold off on those. Lvl 5 gems not sure, I dont have lvl 4s to and put in, but you can check whitepaper and it should say you need GST and GMT to upgade to 5, and no sneakers will not come from MBs that I'm aware of

you have 4.0 energy for 3 shoes, your energy recharges 25% every 6 hours on a set timer

Hey, got a question. I went on my first run today. I have a runner at level 5 with efficiency 24, I had 1 energy to spend. I run my 5 minutes, the map showed the route I run in a green colour which I figured out meant fast. I’m pretty sure I was consistent in my run if and was running 14km/h. My question is, I earned 2,3 GST, I know you’ll earn a bit random and that you need to have good reception but I had all of that and still just earned 2,3 GST out of 6 i guess cause the white paper says that if you run at optimal speed as a runner you’ll earn 6 GST. Now why did I just earn 2,3 at 1 energy spent? Sorry for long text, would be really happy if you would take time to answer it :)

In the withe paper it says that if you run at optimal speed with a runner shoe you will earn 6 GST, I know that there are many factors that effects the earnings but I expected something closer to 6 GST. Sorry for my English 😅

Hey Barndog, not able to understand the calculation for the awakening effect. Can you explain the same in detail.

awakening give you a % increase on the base stat, then adds a bonus to that, I will try to explaing better in the next video

to give an example, say you have a sneaker with 10 efficiency, and you put a lvl 2 gem in it, the gem give 40% bonus + 8. (10×0.4) +8

Wondering why you haven't put the luck gems in your level 30 sneakers. Has anybody here tried to go for the max luck instead of earnings? It would seem you would earn more from the mystery boxes then you would loose in earnings.

So from what I have gathered to actually get a box you need to have 5+ energy. All of the people posting have at least 5 if not between 6 and 9 and they are earning one every time, so you are right at that rate having the luck would be better but to get to that level you would need close to 6 to 9 shoes depending on the rarity of each shoe but look at it like this. If you can get to 9 shoes, regardless of the rarity you will have 9 energy or 45 minutes earning time. With that much time you could honestly max out all of your shoes, sell one for a stacked luck one and just live off the loot cases going forward. All in all to get to 9 shoes and reinventing everything will probably take at least a 4 to 5k initial investment or at least 9 to 12 months of constant reinvesting and buying more shoes
