Steppenwolf, is in my opinion, one of if not the greatest rock band to ever exist. There’s no doubt about that. John Kay’s way of fluidly singing blues rock type of vocals along with a band also jamming behind him is just awesome to watch and listen to. They definitely all know each other’s playing so well and were synchronized in this performance. First time seeing this and after seeing everyone’s comments about the rest of the performance, I totally agree with them as well 💯 we need the rest of the performance

@@echoecho3108 i hear you! with that said Goldy McJohn was my Facebook Friend. we exchanged messages and he greatly wanted Steppenwolf to be inducted in the hall. he asked for fans on his Page to vote daily for the induction after Steppenwolf was nominated. also Steppenwolf on their Facebook page asked for daily votes and John Kay stated he was "honored" to be nominated.

Its probably my most appreciated Wolf song,,, have never seen this before and would have loved to have seen it as a 15yo teenager when it was done in 1969. Just wish everyone could get the title right, John says it himself at the start of the performance... its JUPITER,,,,,NOT JUPITERS. Call me a pedant, but the wrong name changes the whole vibe of the song.

Another performance ruined by bad camera work/editing. Such a shame that when there’s no singing they continue to dwell on John Kay while the other band members are playing their hearts out. I’d say it’s about 10/1 coverage of John Kay to the other guys. I know he’s the leader but it isn’t like they’re just hired studio musicians. The worst videos are when they added “Psychedelic” effects instead of showing the band. So much lost.
