Can two family members add the same vehicle to their apps? My wife has added the car to her phone but i am not able to. I can add myself into the vehicle as a second user, but when i scan the barcode to add the vehicle to my phone, it does not give me the 8 digit code. Any ideas?

Hi! What you are seeing is correct. Only the Primary driver profile will show the vehicle in their Lexus app. Additional driver profiles can be added to the vehicle, but can not add the vehicle to their app garage. If you and your wife are sharing the vehicle, you can always get your profile added to the car, then logout of the Lexus app and sign in with her profile. This will allow you to see the car in the app and have remote start controls, but will not interfere with your phone pairing or your secondary driver profile on the vehicle. Can you only add one phone in this process ? I am trying to add the vehicle on the app on my phone. The SCAN VIN works then it asks for QR or CODE. The car media display never shows these options. My other half has the the vehicle associated on her phone. The app should be more clear explain why you might NOT see these options on the media display.. I want to use the app on multiple phones. The car has no problems loading both of our Lexus profiles, just can't get the app to add the vehicle on my phone.

Hi Mark, Only the Primary Driver profile will scan the QR Code, have subscription controls, and show the vehicle in the App garage in the their phone app. Additional driver profiles will have their own Lexus app sign in, but will not do the "Add Vehicle" step. They will have a customizable profile on the vehicle. Just like on the previous system, you can't have two app accounts with remote access to the same VIN, but you can both sign in with the primary driver app account and you will be able to operate the remote from both phones. You only need the separate app accounts to set up your individual driver profiles on the vehicle. Once you've done that, the secondary driver can sign out of the app, sign in as the primary and you're all set. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in with me.

Are they going to fix the screen software so that you can have your radio on there and split the screen with a map, for instance. Android

Hi! I've heard about rumors of the Lexus app menu remaining visible while Android Auto or Apple CarPlay are still on screen, but not sure about a split screen layout with both systems on screen at the same time. I know it has been requested, but not sure it is in the works. We will all just need to stay tuned for any OTAs that come through. Thanks so much for checking in!

I'm not sure if this is what you need, but see if this helps: 13:59 Android Auto Also for Android Auto, make sure you give all of the permissions when you setup your phone. Some Android phones even require to get the Android Auto app from the Paly Store. Hopefully this will help get things going for you. Thanks very much for checking in.

This app sucks. I’m logged in on my app and my phone is connected to my vehicle via apple carplay but the app won’t register my vehicle after scanning the VIN.

Needs some more information to try to help. What model and year is your vehicle? For Lexus Interface cars, is there already a Primary Driver profile attached to the car? It is not recommended to pair your phone for Apple CarPlay before setting up a driver profile. It is part of the profile setup process.

@@NorthsideLexus thanks for responding. I figured out the problem was that I was expecting the app to be paired to the individual/user as opposed to “one account per vehicle/household.” Let that be a lesson: Drivers must have a single Lexus account and login but you may use multiple phones.

I have a 2021 UX 250H, it works with this app ?

In the US and other countries and regions that use the Lexus app, the 2021 UX250h is compatible for many of the app features like Remote start, last parked location, fuel range and odometer readouts and more. If you are adding this vehicle to the app you will scan the VIN or enter it manually, but you will not have a QR code or 8-Digit code on screen. That will only apply to 2023 and newer UXs for that particular model. Thanks very much for checking in.

I have 2023 GX460 and the app is slow. Painfully slow to the point of being disappointing.

I totally agree. I have a 2020 NX and fell like the latest update is slower than it was before to refresh the screen and show all of the details. I am also experiencing issues with my remote start timing out. Apparently that is an issue for some of the older models like mine and they are working to resolve it. I hope they are also working to speed up app loading and start up times. I'm sorry you're dealing with that also. Thanks very much for checking in with me.

this app is honestly horrible, something as simple as scrolling around is painfully slow and stuttering

I've noticed that sometimes the app is very slow. Especially after an app update. If you're still having trouble try deleting the app and reinstalling and see if that will help. I keep hoping they will add more service support or reduce the app size or something that will help it run faster. Thanks for being here with me!
