Steps to configure Amazon SES & Lambda to receive custom domain emails via Gmail

Is there a technical reason for storing the emails in an S3 bucket? or could you just forward them with the lambda ? Thanks

i configured mx and txt records properly but still email bounced, do u have any insight into this issue?

I am not able to receive email in ses, everything is set including domain verification and mx record also added.
