still such a great song and on most of my playlists, i especially associate it with summer. saw this group live yesterday and the crowd started singing the "ah ah aah" bit until they got back to sing some more! amazing feeling.

Uma das minhas músicas prediletas do meu início de adolescência. Em 1993, começou a tocar no Brasil e foi um grande sucesso, junto a " Step it up". Mas sempre gostei mais de " Conected " e essa batida funk dos anos 70. Sensacional !

To all telecom companies that use this song for your commercials, i think the verse at 0:35 explains my attitude towards you.

Saw them at a stadium festival which had some big names, buy were the most popular. I didn't know a stadium could physically move that much. The only time the fans pumped the stadium like that.

when you get the courage to get connected face-to-face, the writings on the wall, but if you text with technology and your mind is neglected, stumble, you might fall. Even the core message of this song was ahead of its time. Makes me wanna miss the 90s especially the early years even more, when people got really connected.

I’ve had “stumble you might fall” on repeat for decades in my head and couldn’t figure out where it was from. Then this gem came up and it all came rushing back. So lucky to have grown up in this era. ❤

If memory serves me correct, this particular track by the Stereo MCs was used by VODAFONE in the UK as part of a radio advertising campaign to encourage people to get connected to their mobile phone network which was around the mid-late 90's decade. A real "call to action" theme at a time when having a basic mobile phone was a great big deal back in the day! A few years before camera phones, smartphones, social media platforms and so on
