Ahhh The Christmas Story. My personal all time favorite Xmas movie. I saw it in theater the year it was released (1983) and had it on VHS a year or two later (eventually to CD and then Blu Ray). I've faithfully watched it once every year since it came out. It's absolutely one of my Xmas traditions. Just like a specific food or a song etc, this movie makes me nostalgic and transforms what would probably be just another month (that has the added bonus of costing a fortune) into the holidays. And yes; if anyone is interested, I've made my kids/wife sit down and watch it already =) Merry Xmas everyone. Careful Doug not to shoot Rafa's mom's eye out!
