some people may not have discovered Neu! or Can and their contemporaries but this might steer them that way...and why not? I thought that was what music was partly about. I used to be a precious about 'original' bands but realised that music is massive...influences are everywhere - there's no escaping that. Having said that Neu etc were clearly ahead of their game!

I agree, and Stereolab would be first to admit to their influences; they made no secret of their admiration of Krautrock and their contemporaries Spacemen 3, who themselves were heavily influenced by Faust, Suicide and so on.

The best Stereolab album by far, in my opinion. If anyone disagrees then big deal - I know what I like and, at the end of the day, that's all the matters, surely? This track is epic.

I always sing this song to myself whenever I'm walking in the woods enjoying the peace of nature, getting away from all the upheaval and strife in our country. Especially the part at 1:36 "I don't care if the fascists have to win", etc.
