Great guide Elliott! I trusted your suggestions and I removed the radio of my brand new Tucson in a while! Next step: add a DSP with powerful amplifier, a subwoofer and change the front two-way system. Any suggestion?

Good video. How good is the signal from the OEM radio? I just got a brand new company car that happen to be a 2017 Tuscon but I found the sound terrible even compared to the 2010 Tuscon with stock stereo. Don't want to change the whole system also cause it's a company car may be speakers?

I'm in the same boat . My 2017 is under warranty and the FM signal is very weak at times . And the sound system by design is crap

Hi and thanks for the video, I will be ripping my dash apart to get to the back of the stereo soon. The USB port is a right pain in the ass as it keeps freezing. Do you have any suggestions as to what other after market units I can replace it with that can be used with the steering wheel buttons? Cheers, Flaxvert

I have done a few of these. So if you are going to replace the radio I typically would go with a pioneer unit with avh or a nex series then it comes down to features and price point. But its really down to your own personal preference. You can get a usb retention and steering wheel controls for the car. For the Steering wheel controls You can get a pac SWIRC or you can possiblly get a plug and play harness. I can recommend you products however, I am in Australia so if you are in the USA they may or may not be the same.

Elliott Exclusive - Car Audio cheers for your reply buddy. I'm in the UK so may need to order parts from abroad. I have the dash apart now thanks to your video, my cars RHD too which helps ☺. I opted for an A-Sure unit off eBay, it's android and has screen mirroring so I can use waze Sat nav rather than the rubbish Hyundai supplied. I will see how long I can live without steering wheel controls and add if needed at a later date. Cheers dude!

Hey Elliott, I'm trying to put back the dash panel (on top of the radio) but, the clips won't go all the way through... I already checked everything but, I can't seem to see anything.. Any suggestions?

Elisamuel Vázquez Sometimes the clips need to be bent back to the original shape. Also check the hole the clip is being pushed back into. Sometimes the plastic can be broken. Observe each hole and clip at the bottom of the dash panel and compare to the top clips and look for small differences. There is typically some obstructions. Good luck :-)

I tried this with 2 of the smaller pry tools with zero sucess. Bought a better set that had that larger tool. Still a PITA but eventually had they pull force needed to free up the dash. Just remember those are straight pins and out with all your might repeatedly

I would first start with finding the radio fuse in the fuse panel of the car. Remove it put it back in. That should reset it. if you are still having the problem I would take your car into the dealer since the radio should still be under warranty.
