Believe it or not I have about 20 basses currently and I play one of these the most. I did recently put an Aguilar pickup in it but it didn't even need it really. Super playable and such a good value and don't need to worry so much about getting it dinged up or anything :D

I didn't get along well with the Ray5 - tuners are very cheap and it was difficult to get the intonation set right. It's a good bass for beginners but I think the next step up is better overall, especially for modding.

I really like mine. Same finish, but left hand. I was kinda bummed about not having more than the one color option, but it really is a nice finish in person. So far, sounds nice, too !

The Sterling by Musicman stingray basses are great for the money! They sound different because of the mahogany body but still have that ‘stingray’ snap! If you want that 70’s sound, get the EB 70’s reissue; just be prepared for the $3k tag! But for $350 bass is great! Love that sick playing, Nate!🤨🎶🎸❤️👍🏾

Absolutely awesome playing. I loved every second of your musical genius!!! However, I own sterling 5 which was a mistake that I would never recommend to anyone. The b string is flubby and the bass weighs over 11 pounds which is ridiculously heavy. While the pickups sound good, I will never by another bass or guitar with a basswood body again as I own 3 guitars with basswood bodies. Alder or similar density wood for solid body guitars, mahogany or comparable hardwood for bass.
