Do you use any particular settings on the ink pen for the lighting on the fur? Every time I try to make the ink pen do that, it always looks sloppy and nothing like fur.

Just practice ^^ That and if you use SAI you an use something called the 'stabilizer' which will kind of lag your lines a bit to smooth them out. It sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't ^^

Sterling Kato I've never really bothered with using stabilizer, but I will try it out now. I've been practicing different brushstrokes since I asked that, and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Thank you! ^-^

how big do you usually make your canvases? ive been trying to make small fine detailing lings in my drawings but they're always extremely pixelated and ive tried adding more pixels per inch and pretty much everything x.x

I'd guess Ninjakato works on pretty large canvases, maybe over 5000-6000 pixels? Atleast over 4000px. These are the approx. size of canvas Grypwolf works on and as they are both mostly linework oriented, the canvases are usually really large. Don't take this as a fact tho, I'm only guessing. Do remember that the bigger the canvas, the more difficult it is for your computer to handle.

My canvases vary to be honest. Depends mostly on what I'm drawing. For this I did use a fairly large canvas. Not quite 5000-6000px but around 2000-3000ish in height and width. But again, the size of canvas is based on what I am drawing. Larger canvases tend to be used when line work is done in case of imperfections I'd assume. So when it's scaled down you can't notice them as much. If you're looking to put more details in your work you can do this with roughly any canvas size. However, solving the pixelated problem would be to use larger canvases to scale down instead of up in the end. Hope this helps?

ok I have to know what you use to draw. Is it a mouse or tablet? Because I've seen people draw with tablets and its about like what you drew very detail and then I've seen some draw with a mouse and its not as detail. If its a mouse I would be shocked

I'd say a tablet as the lines go thin at the end from the pressure, I drew with a mouse for years and couldn't ever get my lines to do that properly without having to erase every point to look finer, or use line tool and pressure points to thin or thicken lines. Hoped this helped a little.

He's one of my older characters, almost 10 years old now, and he started out as a demon. A bit like Calcifer from 'Howls moving castle', but he was subdued by a girl and cursed to take on a primitive form; the wolf. However, he can be human, cat, dog, horse, anything he chooses but his stagnant form is the wolf and he'll always revert back to it. Originally composed of Hell's fire, when his temper flares (pun hurhur) his body will revert back to flames but only for a short while before he calms down and the curse takes hold again. So he only looks like a wolf but in reality he's a demon. The wolf body is just a cursed form, since wolves tend to be considered evil. Mind you this was back in medieval times when the wolf wasn't exactly 'loved'. Hence why the girl thought the wolf was the scariest form for a demon. Kind of sounds typical for a story like this, the wolf being some kind of demon, blah blah blah, but it sounds a bit better in my head and less cliche XD
