Likely can't figure it out because your NOT suppose to open the inner lid lol. That's why the wick is pulled up through it. :) You can however enjoy 6 hours of heater time. Hope this helped.

​@adonian well there's many different kinds that use different gases if any. You got matches, candles, campfire, Bic lighter, candle lighter, butane torch, propane torch
