The host was lucky Steve was in a cool mood for asking him about possibly doing a "Broke Back Mountain" type of movie.

he should have pretended he was gonna drink a beer with him, and when George went to take a swig, stunner him.

Do you ever listen to Steve's radio show? He's a pretty laid back dude that has no problems joking around. I don't see him taking offense to that joke even if he wasn't in the greatest of moods.

recently he's stated that only when it's cold out does it ever bother him a little, pretty incredible

In his prime, he was the most over superstar in the history of WWE, he blew Hulk Hogan away in terms of merchandise, licensing, ppv buys, ratings, ticket sales you name it... Austin was unbelievable money.
@cerealboy37637 жыл бұрын
Hogan for longevity tho , and hogan was such a brilliant Heel and babyface
@Krontok7 жыл бұрын
Wrestling past your sell by date does not equal longevity. John Cena has longevity, HHH to a degree has longevity, not Hulk Hogan.
@daveorourke84397 жыл бұрын
Krontok Did you say Hulk Hogan does not have longevity? The guy who was a main eventer for 20+ years straight... Between AWA, WWE, WCW and then back to WWE... He didn't have longevity?
@daveorourke84397 жыл бұрын
Krontok Cena has been a top guy since 2005... So that's 12 years, give Cena near enough another decade, and then we will match his longevity towards Hogan.
@beaubowss68136 жыл бұрын
yeah over what? a leg drop? ......that beat everyone??? ok. FUCK HOGAN

One does have to enjoy the fact that many famous celebrities come onto The Hour with George Alphbet, that they can relax more. Great show. I agree with the intros....full view. Great production too.

The reason wrestling was so good during attitude era is because the midcard also kept the attention of the viewer. The Main event wasn't the only thing that had people hooked. But everything comes in a circle sooner or later the whole show will be good again.

I've only spoke with him twice, both briefly following tapings of his show, but he was extremely down-to-earth; gave me a hearty handshake and smiled, we talked about Jack Layton and the Habs. I don't know him personally, of course, but I certainly didn't get the sense he had an ego.

agreed, you also have to think of all the fan base that went to MMA, they hold that college demographic, so the WWE goes for the younger audience to guide them into the WWE. This is a repeat of the 80's, we will eventually have, not another attitude era, but an era to draw people in again

I agree 100% with ya on that one.That's why if I wanna see any of the good stuff,I go to youtube.Or I just break out my wrestling game.I can do house shows & the T.V. shows like they had back in the day of WTBS where ya had the stars vs the jobbers.I even have my own PPVs if I wanna.Plus I can create my own story lines if I wish.I will play this game,more than I will watch it on T.V. these days,I can tell ya that.Plus I can bring back wrestlers from yesteryear if I wanna.Its a great game.

Great interview, it shows how hard work does pay off."If you're in the entertainment industry, you'd better take care of the people who take care of you." *Well said" His reign in the WWE is far superior to what's going on now, I watched RAW last night for the first time in nine years, and safe to say it left me shaking my head. Making those Austinisms with this "mystery GM" last night, where just a ploy to leave the fans hanging, and bolster ratings. Like I said great interview, solid.

@WFR I understand your views completely, and like koalalauncher said, it's a lot like watching a movie or something. I've known it was 'fake' for a long, long time. In fact, I stopped watching for 6 years up until very recently [and even now I barely ever look at the WWE lol] but yeah, it's all an entertainment thing. I think it's pretty incredible to see some of these guys do what they do in the ring, regardless of whether or not it's mock combat, it's very physically demanding and entertaining
