So do I,& basically pull for them,if my Avs aren't playing them, since they are in the East-but we are-.hopefully only .1 more game til we pull off the ultra rare double dip NCAA national championship,& Cup within a few months. I think it's only been done once,& think it was Boston.

People calling tampa a dynasty is a bit of a reach- it really doesn't fit and commentators just want something notable to say... the covid cup, without fans, no away or home ice, altered brackets, in a vacuum is no where near the same challenge as winning a regular Stanely Cup- just isn't

Kadri scored when McKinnon was out of the play. The 2 Lightning players who were also on the ice illegally were both out of play. You call 1 penalty both ways, or you do exactly what the refs did, and allow play to continue. Or you blow the whistle on Tampa's first goal because the goalie's mask had come off ? Or you disallow Colorado's first goal because the player turned his skate as the puck struck it ?
@jsquared10132 жыл бұрын
Not how the rule works. The oncoming player can't get on the ice until the exiting player is within 5 feet (nothing to do with when the entering player "joins the play", he cannot be on the ice until the exiting player is near the bench. The clause about playing the puck or the body is that *neither* can do so until the exiting player is completely off the ice). Kadri was on the ice while MacKinnon was still deep in the offensive zone. NHL rule is explicit about the goalie mask: if the mask comes off and the attacking team is in the midst of a goalscoring opportunity, no whistle. (The puck knocked Kuemper's mask off; the impact on the chin area stretched the straps which caused the buttons to pop off).

As a fan of fair hockey, it would only make sense to start game 5 with Colorado on the powerplay for the bolts having 7 men on the ice in overtime. Not sure how bolts fans cant count that high but yes, indeed, empirically, 7 is ACTUALLY more than 6. I know its hard to believe bolt fans pick your jaw up theres more. You scored a goal on an opposing goalie that hadnt a helmet on his head, also had a goal taken back that was not conclusive at all in game 3. In this series it sits Avs 3 Refs 1, the top line for tampa are in striped jerseys, period. Tampa Dog water about to dry up
@jsquared10132 жыл бұрын
The two Tampa Bay players made legal line changes, as they were within 5 feet of the bench when their replacements came on. That's within the rules. Kadri came on when MacKinnon was still between the faceoff circles. Not even close. Second, the puck is what knocked Kuemper's mask off, and the NHL rule is explicit: the play is not stopped if the attacking team is in the middle of a goalscoring opportunity. Third, that called-off goal in Game 3 was 100% conclusive, you can see white between the puck and the blueline on multiple camera angles. It doesn't matter if it's 1 mm or 1 meter, out is out. (Note to preempt the incoming ad-hominems: I'm not a TB fan and I expect the Avs to win).

So Is Kadri’s ot winner a hat-pick and a dang-it or is this play a triple dang-it? Avs too many men ‘6’ Tampa Too Many man ‘7!’ The refs miss both teams having 3 too many men on the ice at the same time. The goal counts it’s a good goal, is that a dang-it? Or a hat-pick?
@factbeaglesarebest2 жыл бұрын
Except Mackinnon was within a legal line change. He was out of the play on the way to the bench within 5 feet. These changes happen all the time.
@jsquared10132 жыл бұрын
@@factbeaglesarebest false. MacKinnon was practically between the faceoff circles when Kadri came on. Not even close to legal. The rule states that the entering player can't get onto the ice until the exiting player is within 5 feet (not your pulled-from-thin-air interpretation), and that neither can play the puck or the body until the exiting player is off the ice. They didn't meet any of the requirements for a legal line change.
