He talks about that tuning in another video. It’s double dropped D. D A D G B D. But he has a capo on the second fret but it only covers the bottom 5 strings so he can play a G chord easily.

Wow...time has not been kind to Steve Earle. Look how he looked in the original video (which sounds MUCH better, IMO), vs how he looks and sounds now. 😳 His voice now is raspy (not in a good way) and it sounds like he's mumbling most of the lyrics. He doesn't look or sound anything like he did. #retire
