From Steve Ellis: "Roger has his opinion regards politics whereas I have none; I'll just say: "Meet the new boss same as the old boss ", to paraphrase Pete Townsend`s classic "We don`t get fooled again". Tadah!

I'll always remember my father, who wasn't exactly over enamoured with the music of the time, saying this to me after he'd heard Love Affairs hit 'Everlasting Love.' He'd been cocking his head and had a puzzled expression on his face, after hearing the opening line, and he said, ''What the bloody hell are they singing? It sounds like, ''Arseholes are strained, deep it hurts when they glow!'' It still creases me up, and I told the wife and all my mates this tale, and tears were running down their faces.

I always wondered whatever happened to the other four blokes in Love Affair?? I know Rex had his own trucking company. I have mates if your British don’t laugh in Scunthorpe North Lincolnshire. Met them in San Diego summer of 1985 coming out of a strip club. Kept in touch for two years and first went to England 1987 for the entire summer. I was a teacher at the time so I had the summer off. Right next to the train station was The Bridge House Hotel Pub. On the jukebox I would play The Walker Brothers The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore, and Manfred Mann Pretty Flamingo and of course Everlasting Love and One Road. I visited every summer until 1993 when I packed in teaching and my mates would say “ I knew Bud was back in Scunthorpe when I heard Love Affair on the jukebox. They Steve Ellis and Roger Daltrey are two of my four favorite singers from any era. Gary Puckett who at age 81 is still alive and performing and Scott Walker RIP. I always wondered whatever happened to the beautiful young woman in the Everlasting Love Video with the Bob Fosse esque hand movements. She would be in her 70 s if still alive.

Beverley R I was born in 1974 and my parents had me later in life,my mum being 40 and my dad 45 so I was lucky enough to be able to listen to all their records, from the 50s 60s and 70s which is probably a bit odd for someone my age 🤔 I was lucky enough to see the seekers a few years ago in Bournemouth and Judith Durhams voice was just as good as it sounded back in the 60s.

@@jasonclarke7422 Well Jason I'm a fair bit younger than your mum and dad then, because I became a teenager the year you were born!
