That is quite simply magnificent. I’ve loved this song since it was first released. As a musician, I’ve played it so many times over the decades of my career; but, I’d have given my back teeth to have had the privilege of playing it with Steve on vocals. Phenomenal 😃👍🏻👍🏻

Steve wont remember but he lived in the next street to me in finchley,we were about 10 or 11 at the time,we played in the streets a couple of times together then drifted apart as kids do...over the years had a little chuckle about that but boy can he sing,glad he did well!👏🇬🇧

That's interesting. I like your story. I have a little story to tell too. A well known GERMAN JAZZMUSICIAN lived on the other side of my place. Maybe you kno😮w , HAMBURG was pretty destroyed in the 2nd world war. We grew up playing in all the ruins, although we were not allowed. And this great JAZZMUSICIAN to be was sent out into the ruins where he was sitting, practicing and the scales up and down. . I still remember not only the scales, but something else he always played. What a pitty , you can't hear me singing, while writing my comment. ❤😅❤

Steve lives in Brighton now, he was 17 when he had his first hit song, this song, his drummer was only 14 years old, I also live in Brighton, Steve is about 73 now, and what a great voice
