I remember watching the jumping blocks when this as shown before TNT took over in the evening! Brings back memories!

I remember hearing this exact kind if music, not just on Cartoon Network UK's sign-off ident, which is also a variation of the CGI bouncing blocks ident, but also an advert for, I think, a bed company.

From my recollection, this was used in the US until 2004 and the UK until 2002.

Wait, how did it even get to be heard by American viewers?

I remember dancing to this as a kid, it was one of the first ever techno-ish songs I ever found and was obsessed with it. I also remember just resuming watching cartoons after it was over :) TNT never took over.

Hi! Yeah. In Eastern Europe, Cartoon Network and TNT, which were also related, were distributed on the same frequency From 9PM (EET) = +2.00 GMT, transmission started on frequency CN TNT Classic Movies then added an additional hour of cartoons and TNT began its broadcast from 10 PM (EET) to 6 AM. In the 90s, all cartoon channels were shared with other television channels Cartoon Network (6 AM-9/10 PM) + TNT Classic Movies Fox Kids (5 AM - 7 PM) + Star Jazz (99-2000), after Fox Sports (2000-2002 ?). Nickelodeon (7AM - 6 PM) + Discovery Channel (until '99).

Steve Everitt's music is in the Japanese version of Dragon Ball GT, which didn't get to appear on Cartoon Network, how ironic.

Does anyone think that this sound effect sounds like the one used in PaRappa? (0:11) Not sure, it might just be similar. (PS: It even showed PaRappa in my right video bar!) Edit: The sound effect might just be a easy to access sound effect that was coincidentally used in both of these.

People listened to this song in the late 1990s until 2002 Im listening to it first time in 2022 and I haven't been able to watch cartoon network because I'm in a European country that doesn't have the channel 😔
