Some of the folks you showed I already watch. I'll be sure to check out the ones I had no idea about until now 👍 I'm truthful in saying you're my favorite travel guy. I enjoy seeing you, and other KZbinrs, seeing them experience the area. Body language often tells a story itself. I also have some hearing issues, short of putting captions on- which I hate- seeing the KZbinr's face helps with what is being said. We would all love to visit the places you find, but for some we won't ever be able to. All of you great folks bring the world to us each week. To all of you, thank you for the expense and work it takes to bring us an adventure. May GOD richly bless you all and keep you safe.

@gorrdd6 ай бұрын
@@TravelwithaWiseguy That's likely because you need to stay focused in order to stay on point and not wander. While at the same time remembering you are addressing something that can not respond back in the moment. The only way I know to do that is to hold the conversation with yourself while still remembering you are addressing a somewhat anonymous audience. It's an exercise that takes you off of focusing on the camera and microphone. It's something that actors have to do in order to project beyond the current reality into a convincing made-up reality. It's a kind of madness because you have to also learn to really believe in it, in order for it to be really convincing. I think some people learn to do this growing up as a way of coping with themselves. Unfortunately, they can end up becoming pathological liars doing what they need to do in order to get what they think they want. That's why the saying goes about people who talk to themselves being crazy. But coming from someone who has talked to themselves most of their life... this doesn't have to be true. Everyone talks to themselves but most people talk to others more than they talk to themselves. The problem with taking to others more than yourself is that you force yourself to accept more of the social dilemma... whatever that may be. I talk to myself more than others generally because I don't want to deal and enmesh myself with the social dilemma... especially today while we all learn to unwind from the fake reality of our contrived social conditioning. It begs the question, "Did the caveman invent the wheel? Or was it invented by the outside community who were still dragging their carts with square wheels? Or did they just keep on dragging the square wheels until the edges wore off? 🤔🙈😂 There's allot to be said for independent thinking as it will eventually wear the edges off...😉 Gord

This was fun! Great idea to interview other creators, am interested in exploring some of those other channels. My top favorite channels - apart from yours - have very little travel in them, but the common thread is learning something new: River - like your videos, I never miss one, and like your channel, the host is very engaging and likeable (although your "brands" are quite different to one another); Josie - lifestyle vlog in the Cotswolds, there's some travel here, but it's almost always posh aka out of my price range; and Jordan Peterson. I think the way you're using the music is quite effective - it was one of the things that I noticed when I first started watching, that it fits the content so well. And you / your face are not on the screen too much, especially if its a behind-the-scenes video. Would you consider putting that scary face you made on a tee shirt? Jk

When Steve had a small channel, he would see our comments and respond most of the time. he can no longer do that, which is what I hate most about his growth. That will happen to you also as you grow. Another great KZbin channel is German In Venice GIV, My last comment is, that I ran into another Shocker at the gym that I go to, He was a big man and works out in the weight room, He lives and works in KC now, He thanked me for introducing him to your channel, he did not know that you had one. :)

Thank you and I can imagine how keeping up with the comments can be tough. It would be nice if KZbin had some kind of system where you can see the best commenters more easily. It’s not great on this end to sort through it all. Go Shockers! 😊

I already like your music but if you alternate between dukes and fall guy I’m good with that. Looking forward to more Missouri videos

I watch Sightseeing Sally and follow her travels. The KZbinrs you watch had a check mark, why?

It’s a verification mark for channels with over 100k subscribers. I’ve watched her some and she’s done some good stuff!

I have a new KZbin channel (on a different account) and it seems to be off to a good start. I'm hesitant to provide the link because I don't need to be an attention whore. If it takes off, it takes off, being pushy in promoting it doesn't seem to be a good approach. I can relate about the music, I've had a number of negative comments regarding music but like you said, KZbin severely limits you on that. Your list of favorite channels, I'm subscribed to some of them and some I do not like. I'm here on your channel because it's more down to earth and you show stuff that interest me. You don't show me what you had for lunch (boring!), what the bed in the motel room looks like (who cares?), and you're real, not a fake persona.

Thank you! The great thing about KZbin is there is something for everyone it seems like. My goal in this show - and hopefully in the future is to help people find smaller channels they might not know about yet. Good luck with your channel and I don't think promoting it some makes you an attention whore - some of us just want to find it too :) In these comments I've already learned about several channels I didn't know about and am interested in watching! And in terms of the food and motel room, don't watch my video this Sunday haha. It's a behind the scenes that I do every once in a great while.

@@TravelwithaWiseguy My channel is called "Where My Camera takes Me." Not much there for now. I have a number of car videos, I found by accident car people love to see the old stuff, keep that in mind when you find those little corners filled with rust. I will be gone during the summer which means lots of videos to come in the fall. Thanks, and here is the link: www.youtube.com/@Where_My_Camera_Takes_Me

Maybe you could use "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson but it's probably copyrighted too. I know go to the old classics maybe you could use one of them. There's always "Born to be Wild" but that's more for motorcycle guys. Ha! Happy trails to you and God bless.

@@TravelwithaWiseguy How about lets do a contest of sorts. The prize is a shirt and coffee mug for the best lyrics or musical composition from your viewers for your friend to sing. Like a short theme song for your channel. Just an idea maybe???
