His core skills are still devastating!! For anyone that doesn't consider stick control or rudiments, respectfully I say think again!!God bless you Steve gadd and thank you for all the years of the great music and the great drumming that went with it!!

At 75 and still great; guys half his age couldn’t groove like him here! True genius and a great inspiration for me in my earlier drum years

I’m honestly a little stunned and delighted. Steve’s been a hero of mine since I started playing drums as a teen back on the 90’s. I’ve seen so many of his performances, blown away by so many - but lately, as great as his playing been, his solos have seemed to tread on the same waters - not nearly as inventive as they used to be. This one harkens back to his 70’s and 80’s work. Inventive, musical and powerful. All the touring he’s been doing these past few years must’ve really opened him. This is amazing

The influence of his drum corps drumming comes out in this solo more than in any other one I've seen maybe other than his use of Crazy Army now and then. Honored to say that I was once guided by the legendary late Mr. Bobby Thompson as was Mr. Gadd. He even still has hints of the Thompson and Les Parks "Tea Cup" left hand grip. Gotta love it!!

Of course he incredible on the solos but people don't give him enough credit for how in that pocket he plays that 4/4 on this and all those other amazing tunes, still like no other, well maybe Bernard Purdie. But he is on fire here, a true of case of one getting better as one ages.

I'd like to see some of these young superdrummers play with the swinging groove and precise, subtle intensity that Steve Gadd demonstrates here in a room where playing lightly is needed.

I think he even borrowed a piece of a Hawthorne Cabelleros drum solo from the early 60's. Nice use of flam taps and ratamacues towards the end. I really loved this solo!!!
