I was carving gnomes and then I saw Steve Good's tiny gnomes. I too use my scraped wood to make these. After making several of the scroll saw gnomes, I started to make my own designs and it has been fun. I've been making baseball, basketball, and football gnomes and painting them with my favorite team colors. I saw the comment above about stack cutting and I guess that would make sense if someone was mass-producing these. I'm like Luther and I don't usually stack cut. Thank you Luther for making these videos.

nice video.. I wonder if using a pin nailer would work out in securing the parts.

I've never tried that myself, but you could give it a try.

Fun and informative thank you. Why not stack the wood and cut 2 at a time? Thanks!😀

I'm not big on stack cutting, and using all different shapes of scrap pieces makes it hard to do. Thanks for watching

I just found your video. Thanks for making it. Probably one of your other videos will answer my question but why do you use the tape? Does it save the wood from tearing and splintering? Thank you.
@LuthersWoodworking Жыл бұрын
The tape is used so you can apply the pattern to. Otherwise, the glue you apply the pattern might leave a residue or be hard to remove. When you tape, you can just peel off the pattern easily. Also, if you apply clear packaging tape on top of your pattern ,the tape will lubricate the blade.

Very good video. How do you get each piece on a single sheet of paper?
@LuthersWoodworking Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean The pattern can be downloaded on Steve goods website , and then I used Inkscape to edit the pdf to put all of the same parts on one piece of paper

@@LuthersWoodworking I was wondering what software you were using to edit the picks. Thanks for the info
