Steve is timeless, however the drummer is, IMHO, flat and uninspired. The previous drummer was far better.

It should be clear that the drummer plays what Steve wants him to play. Especially for Fly on a windshield the beat was originally intended by Genesis to be as simple ("flat") as possible. Please look at videos from the ending of Shadow of a Hierophant with Craig and tell us whether he is relly flat and uninspired
