Steve is one of my heroes...the beauty of his music is immortal...and his also one of my favorite guitar maestros of all time. Regards from Sicily!

Steve Hackett is my favorite guitarist, and he's also an incredibly generous guy. I interviewed him on my college radio station, he gave me free tickets to his show and we got a backstage pass. We got a pic of him with my band's t-shirt. Such an awesome dude.

I love that Steve is doing these albums live. Someone has to, who better than him.

It's impossible for the person that plays the original Firth of Fifth guitar solo (and plays such beautiful guitar on many other great songs) not to be my all time hero!!!!! I'm so glad to see him perform live in early May in Utrecht, Netherlands again. Must be about my 15th time: I feel so privileged!

Who owns the music? Those who have it in their hearts and not those who produced it from their heads. Wow... Love Steve.

Steve's guitar sound was my 'gateway drug' to classic Genesis. Without that and Mike's bass playing (and the twelve strings) I don't think I would have given those albums a second listen. Oh, did I forget Phil's drumming?

...and classic Genesis for sure wouldn't exist without Peter's vocals and certainly - last but not least - Tony's keyboards.

'For Absent Friends' ... off Steve's original Genesis Revisited album ... with the great Colin Blunstone on vocals ... and done as a waltz in 3/4 time ... just a wonderful rendition of Steve's early composition that made it onto the 'Nursery Cryme' album

What would be wild is if he could con Antony Phillips into coming on and doing The Knife. I think I heard Ant once say he wouldn't mind playing to a BIG crowd but they never had them back in his day.
