I went to the zoo with my family a long time ago and got toured by the man himself. Still have his photo on my desk. Rip steve irwin. Edit: To clear some doubt. Yes, Steve Irwin, the beloved wildlife conservationist, the man I look up to, was known to give personal tours at Australia Zoo when time permitted. He was deeply involved in the zoo’s operations and would often surprise visitors by interacting with guests (me, luckily so at the time), showcasing animals, and sharing his passion for wildlife conservation. While his busy schedule with filming and conservation efforts limited these appearances, many zoo visitors recall memorable encounters with him during live demonstrations or behind-the-scenes experiences. His hands-on, enthusiastic approach embodied his commitment to educating people about wildlife, and it is this that has inspired many individuals throughout the world to help conserve our beloved animals, just like it inspired me. That tour with him will stay with me forever, and I wouldn't be able to thank him enough for the honour. Crickey! Steve Irwin, you truly were one of a kind. Thank you all for the kind comments.

This is why PETA has no room to shit on Steve. The man not only bought up land to allow for conservation of troubled salties, but he also understood upsetting the balance of the ecosystem if he were to remove the alpha so he opted to use negative reenforcement to teach the salty to stay away from boats so that he can be allowed to stay in his natural habitat. On top of that, all of his methods were humane. He used wooden stakes so that the croc wouldn't injure himself when it thrashes. The only bait he used was an invasive species of wild pig that harrasses these crocs' nests. He didn't sedate the salty because of the potential dangers to the croc's life. He used biodegradable hempen string and rope on the traps so that they can be left there to decompose naturally. He cared for the alpha so as to not cause serious stress and kept him cool and hydrated. He immediately released the female croc so that she wouldn't become too stressed. PETA, an organization that just euthanizes 95.5% of the animals it "rescues" is not even close to the level of animal care and conservation efforts that Steve and the Irwins are on.

People need to realize how awesome Steve Irwin was. We all took him for granted because we couldn't imagine that he would ever die. Then once he was gone, it was like, "Damn, I miss that guy. He was one of a kind. Nobody else on Earth is as insane or as capable as Steve. He can't be replaced. That really sucks." 😕 He was such an awesome guy. He’d be so proud of his wife and children, especially his son Robert who looks/acts just like him. They have so much passion for saving wildlife and their habitats. Thank-you Steve Irwin for being the caring, gentle, passionate man you were. I wish you were still here with us. God knows what he’s doing & I have to believe that he needed you more on the other side to complete a mission there. It’s so unfair, God always takes the best. Steve world have been upset to know that after his death people went on a killing spree & killed many stingrays to get back at the species that took Steve’s life, he wouldn’t have wanted that. Steve loved all animals and I think he would have even said it was his fault for getting to close. That stingray felt trapped and just did what they do to protect themselves. It just felt so cheap because he went one on one with some of the worlds most dangerous creatures. Your legacy lives on, Steve, not only through your children, wife and zoo but through fans like me who just adored you and everything you accomplished. You were one of a kind, a very special man and I think of you so often. I watch all your films and shows over & over just to see you and hear your voice.
