It was how our founding fathers managed to convince the smaller states to stay in the union. Giving smaller states electoral votes equalizes them from the more populous states in New England. It was baked into our founding history and hard to remove. Like our 2nd amendment. I don't think folks in the 1800s consider semi automatic weapons. Some other perspectives: (1) I live in Az. I have a Michigan phone#. Where would my poll even show up? As AZ or MI? (2) All the conversations I see on social media groups say "nobody polled me" I'd vote for the local scorpions before Trump - I am voting Blue - full ballot. It's very basic actually. You have to register to vote in the state and county you live in and the phone number needs to be up to date. And then it depends on the organization that conducts the polling to selectively choose whom to call for their vote. This is why all the left outlets of CNN ABC etc will show Kamala up, but more accurately Trump is probably up. And besides the poll data they are using is from Sept 6th.

I'm not sure what the obsession with ethnicity is about, but Kamala Harris is from Oakland and lived in California her whole life, not India. Her parents are a quite talented scientist from India and an emeritus Stanford professor from Jamaica. What is more important is her brilliant career and life of public service and fighting crime, which is in strong contrast to that of her self-centered opponent whose family Drumpf is known for getting ejected from Germany for refusing to do military duty followed by founding a whorehouse in Canada, then real estate in NY where Trump can no longer do business or live because of his many crimes and reputation of being completely untrustworthy.
