The Stirling, Perth, Inverness and Aberdeen stations bring back memories of my visit as an 18 year old in 2000. The scenery between Stirling and Inverness is not something I will ever forget. We started at Dundee station and did the loop to Perth, up to Inverness, a stop off in Nairn, then on to Aberdeen and back to Dundee late at night. It was great, busy and exhausting. Well Done ScotRail. Not sure they repeated the experience as they were overwhelmed by demand :) great way to see Scotland.

Two things learned from this video, as an American who hopes to visit Scotland. 1) The train looks quite convenient. I'm considering not renting a car. That would ease a huge concern, as I wasn't looking forward to driving on the left side! 2) The countryside is forested. I pictured all of Scotland looking like Skye, with rocky short grass highlands, barren of any trees.

Amazing video Steve. Makes me want to go to Scotland again via train (7 hours on a train to Edinburgh/Glasgow is the only thing stopping me). Amazing scenery inside and around the cities. Been a pleasure to watch. 👍🏻

Hello from Hertfordshire, SE England 👋🏻beautiful content, this should be a tv series! Scotland has a very special place in my heart and seeing all these familiar place names such as Aberdeen, Inverness, Aviemore giving me goosebumps in a good way, just lovely to watch and thanks for sharing your adventures with us! Oh and I love souvenirs and collect a magnet from wherever I travel. I just subbed to your channel ☺️

Yes I'd be knackered after the first couple of stations if I got up a 3:30. Very nice though. I was inwardly cheering when you went through Pitlochry as that was the first place I stayed in Scotland in 1988. Been there a few times since. So beautiful Tayside is.

I love the look of the Scotrail trains - clean, roomy & looking comfortable. I appreciate your not talking to camera on the trains and I’m sure your fellow travellers did too. Brilliant trip - brought back many memories of holidays north of the border.

That was fun, especially since you were the one doing the traveling. I enjoyed the scenery, mountains, water, and architecture, as usual. See you next time.

@5:01 .. yes ! Edinburgh rock is lovely, far far better than the normal rock. Great video and enjoyable to watch. My wife and i visited Edinbugh earlier this year for the first time in 20+ years, then had a trip to Glasgow .. Both mini breaks were fantastic. Going again to Edinburgh in January and Glasgow in June 2024. Hotels already booked and trains for EDB too, so something to look forward to. York + Leeds trip in March, so we'll need to start packihng soon. Regards from Whitley Bay
