Thank you Steve. I´m reading about your age. I´m 49. I was a martial artist and football player. Busy job schedules and stress got me overweight, with HBP. When I looked at your physique, it does inspire me to get back on the right track. Any advice? Thanks.

@idolhands50 it's very unfortunate to hear that :( this exercise is stressful on your lower back - reaching for your toes with your BOTH legs straight, is i hope you the best

It’s only stressful on your lower back if you’re not strong enough to perform it. You can find an easier regression and build strength there before progressing onto this. Learning to contract your glutes can be a challenge in and of itself for many people. Maybe get a glute band and see if that helps. Once those are firing, your lower back should be supported. The exercise is fine. It’s your issue, not the exercise’s

Not the elephant walk, to do the elephant walk you need another person astide your back facing the opposite way to you, who leans forward and waljs with hands while you walk on hands and knees or feet.
