Боря Дюпон it’s similar to Toni Northup’s video. A guy who reviews cameras in his basement (he does pretty good job) criticizing Steve!!! That’s just ridiculous. Steve dedicated his life capturing different people and places around the world, some of those places are quite difficult to visit. I don’t have as many experiences as him, but last spring I traveled all over Palestine and photographed a lot of people and I know how this exploration/documenting process works. It’s difficult to explain to a person who freaks out when camera doesn’t have a dual card slot )))

I could play around with the SL2 and the 35 Summicron a little bit yesterday and I have to say it feels absolutely amazing in the hands. I will definitely check it out when it‘s in stores. I love my M but I find it a lot easier to focus the M lenses on a camera like the SL or Z (Nikon) with focus peaking. So maybe I will go with the SL instead of the next M 🤷🏻♂️. The SL2 is also a little bit cheaper than the M ☺️ Anyway great video and very very nice camera 📸✌🏻

What I want to learn from Steve is how he capture the moment, how he know when to press the shutter also how he communicate with people whom he wants to photograph. For style of photo like colors,contrast,and so on I stick it to my own of course. There is no way I can immitate his color and will be too much work to just make my color look like his color. That's why he is one of my favourite, because rather than technical aspect, he mainly talk about the people's aspect in photography and lighting

Wow - can't believe what I just saw! Steve McCurry has been a Nikon man forever!! He's used Hassies a little bit for his medium format, but has basically shot all his street/travel on Nikons. He's been my inspiration for so long. Out of all the people I follow he's been the one where gear means the least to him. He really hasn't cared too much or bothered to talk about cameras for most of his shooting life. How on earth did Leica 'snare' Steve McCurry - that is a huge coup on their part. I bet he didn't have to pay for any of that gear. He may be right with the sharper lenses or a bit of this or that, but it is barely ever the gear. Give him a Kodak Instamatic and he'd bring the 'bacon' home. Same for me - I don't get caught up in all this latest gear stuff. We'd all be broke if you changed camera systems each time something new/different/better came out. I love my two Fuji X-H1's and I'm sticking with those. I wouldn't want to lug that Leica brick around. Philip

@@philipsutton2316 thanks for your reply. I needed bit of zoom to have different perspective in my pictures and I got xf18-135 at great bargain of USD 450 new that's why grabbed it. Which next lense should I buy - if you could make a suggestion. Thanks.
@philipsutton23165 жыл бұрын
@@Nature.Shorts Hi Gagan. It really depends on what type of photography that you do, to which other lens/lenses you may need. I never shoot landscape and only ever people/portraits/street, so I found the 18-135 not so good at blurring out the background of my portraits and people shots - particularly around the 70-90mm I like to shoot. That is why I sold that lens and got the 90mm F2 (fast lens and large aperture for blurring background and lower ISO). The other lens I got was the 16-55 - fixed aperture of 2.8 that does not change whilst zooming. So for me I had to get two lenses to replace the one 18-135 - so now I carry two cameras each one with those new lenses on. That was the answer to my problems, but everybody is different. You may only shoot landscapes on a tripod, so the 18-135 may be perfect for you. I hope that helped. Philip
