His wife is now having to be responsible for the mortgage, and she has to make sure the boys' future is taken care of. We dont know everything that has happened behind the scenes, so do not judge his wife!

First, most people do not anticipate to die before their parents. Second, you have to know your state laws regarding issues like this. In Mississippi, if you die with children but no spouse, your children will inherit eberything. If you die with one child, your spouse gets half of the intestate property and your child gets the other half. If you die with two or more children, your surviving spouse and children each get an equal share of your intestate property. Steve McNair had children from another relationship and the court ruled that his wife had to provide support.
